Ah you northerners, being shocked at being charges £5 for a pint. How I envy you all.

This season's Typhoon display is awesome so that should be good.

Well the Red Arrows closed the show with an expected superb display...some fantastic manouvres today.

Called into my local chinese on the way home and the phone was ringing off the hook and most of the crowd in there were not locals. Got chatting to a Scottish family who have come down for two weeks holiday...had a cracking weekend to start their holiday and educated them that next weekend is the Scooter Rally so they have timed it just right.

Last night i paddled in the tide like a tripper on my way between pubs as the sun went down...reminded myself to never take it for granted...Cleethorpes IS an amazing place to have been born, bread and buttered in.

Completely agree. Every time I'm home I do appreciate my affinity with Cleethorpes. 28 years living somewhere else makes you value what you had as a child I think. I was very fortunate to have grown up in a coastal setting, with rural experience thrown in. Nowadays I love both, all over Briatain. Coast and hillside. Mountain, village, port, hamlet. Really thankful for my deliverance from the inner city. Couldn't care less for cities today, generally. There's nothing wrong with Cleethorpes and Grimsby. I feel fortunate and appreciative. Bit sad I missed today.

The Kebab House in Cleethorpes market place always shuts at 12pm midnight, due to armed forces weekend they closed at 5.30am Saturday morning, i must congratulate them on flying English flags in their windows bearing in mind they are owned and their employees are Turkish, now that's good assimilation with us locals.

The service is great in there. The restaurant through the back is great too, lovely Meze and very good value for money.
