When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Great move for him. Up a division to a big club and playing in front of big crowds every week.

How long before his first England cap?

Wishing I had a lump on this during his 7 games would have been MUCH better odds back then!

He is probably 4 years too soon to make it as a regular but I think there is a good chance of him playing for England at some point. There is only 3-4 years between him and Pickford/Butland. I think Pickford will be number 1 for most of the next 8 years at least.

Chances are in 6-7 years, we will be looking at blooding a relatively young goalkeeper into the setup and not someone like Henderson who will be late 20's.

His career is taking the right steps, with him proving himself at each level thus far. If he handles Sheffield United this season I wonder if United will cash in or loan him to a Premier League team.

In 6-7 years, Nick Pope will be 32/33 and Tom Heaton will be nearly 40.

If Henderson can get games in the Premier League, Southgate will give him a chance.  Especially as he seems to favour players who have come through the England ranks.

I said when he was here, probably a little tongue in cheek, that he would go onto win England caps.  I've seen nothing since to suggest otherwise.

What Henderson has got over his age-group rivals is that he's getting regular competitive action, which just proves the value of the loan system in this country and why there's no need for B Teams in the pyramid.
