This is the toughest one yet as there are three strong contenders, Reddy, Boulding and Bogle.

I'll have to ponder this one for a while........

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

This is a tough one as Reddy and Boulding were exciting to watch and really good players, but i will plump for Bogle. He scored more goals per game (admittedly at a lower level) and was also instrumental in getting us back into the league. Without his crucial goals in the semi and the final, we may still be in that hell hole.

Boulding, although I agree with others that you can make a very strong argument for Reddy and Omar. All 3 would be worthy winners.

Bogle

Will this just be going upto number 11 or onwards into squad numbers?

E.g. 12 - Butterfield, Jevons, Cook,
13 - McKeown, Croudson
14 - John-Lewis, Bore, Paterson, Livvo (if not picked for No.10 he wore 14 in 1999-2000 & 2000-01)

And so on...

Boulding just from Reddy . Boulding could score any type of goal really and went on to play at a higher level than reddy, so just wins .

Cant go for Bogle simply because it was a much lower level and is yet to do anything higher up. doubt he will play in the premier league.

Omar. Technically the best player on that list and could do pretty much everything. Scored more goals than anyone on that list and earned the club the most amount of money.

Reddy for me too. A shame that injury ended his career as he could have played a lot higher I reckon.

Who knows what path the future would have taken if he hadn't have to go off injured in Cardiff.

Yeah, strongly agree with those finding it hard to separate Boulding, Reddy and Bogle. I'd probably be happy with any of those, but agree with those who have finally chosen Boulding as he was indeed excellent and proven at Championship level. Boulding for me then.

Tough in many ways because Boulding and Bogle definitely had their strengths and were good players in their own right. Reddy though just for what he bought to the team. Great pace but also a quality finisher too who could get goals form anywhere.

If he didn't have the injury problems he did then no way would he have dropped to L2. He was way too good for that league.

Very difficult to choose between the 3 mentioned, but I'm going to plump for Boulding, just because of how good he was in the 01/02 run in.

Quiz question: which 3 of the above played in the Premier League?

Boulding for me. A real disappointment that he left the first time but you can see why it happened as Villa were too big a club to turn down. Just a case of too much too soon for him as I reckon he'd ultimately have done better in his career if he'd stayed with us for another season.

Tough one. Between Bogle, Reddy and Boulding. Boulding is the only one who did it for us at a high level (though the other two didn't get the chance). So Quick Mick over Quick Mick. And Omar.

Mickey Boulding.

Reddy

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Boulding...

"Quick Mick"

Really strong case for Reddy and Bogle though. Think Redds could've played higher if not for injuries, and Omar can probably play higher than L2 as well but hasn't shown it yet.

Very, very difficult one.

Boulding was incredible for a very short period for us in the Championship.  He came into a side that badly lacked pace but initially offered little else.  The Birmingham game on a Friday night where we won 3-1 was his, I suppose, breakout moment when he scored twice and they just couldn't handle him.  But from there he struggled to repeat that until the latter stages of the season under Groves when everything just clicked as a side.  He massively benefited from playing alongside Bradley Allen as someone who showed him where and when to run.  Another who aided his hot streak was Danny Butterfield in a midfield role, he set up an awful lot of chances for him with clever slide through balls to utilise his pace.   Never quite the same player when he came back, more clinical but not as deadly.  He was in a far poorer side too.

Reddy - Another who was awesome over a short period of time.  His first season was more or less a non-event, first four/five months of the second season he was a player quite clearly playing two levels below his natural standing.  Completely unplayable during that period but another who benefited from playing with a know-how strike partner in Gary Jones.  Injuries were a great shame and he's the one who I think could and should have played at a higher level consistently.

Bogle - Over a more sustained period and scored those goals at Wembley.  Best description I can give him is a precocious talent.  I think the strops and tantrums have been forgotten a little because of how good that run of form was before he left.  We missed his goals but I grew a little tired, probably more because of how Bignot set everything up, of it becoming the Bogle Show.  It was like we had Ronaldo for Real Madrid at one point where every pass had to go to him, he was on all free-kicks etc.  Surprised he hasn't done anything since he left us, especially in League One where I thought he would at least score goals.

Reddy for me.

But if I have to choose I think I'll go with Reddy.
