There will be a staggered break in February with matches spread over 2 weeks and no FA Cup 5th Round replays. Starting from 2019/20. But will the England national team benefit?

Depends if the use it as recuperation time or go off on overseas tours. Also won't this just cause a fixture bottleneck elsewhere  in the season?

They say this will be a complete break but I’ll believe that if I ever see it. In 5 years time there will be some real money spinning February tournaments in Qatar and Saudi for the big 6 plus guests and televised world wide to draw in the eastern betting markets.

The only thing that is going to help England is if the top Premiership teams play the current outstanding crop of U21s U19s and U17s in years to come instead of discarding them and spending millions on even more Johnny Foreigners

I think we need England players playing aboard more. At the moment all the English players play for English teams and so only play against other English teams, plus a few European games.

While there are 60%+ of non English players in our top league we will never win anything,

When we leave the EU we should restrict the numbers of overseas players,

5 non English in a team is plenty.

It wont happen though.

But it has to be a break. That’s stipulated.

However (funny old thing), players can travel abroad to train in the warmer weather.

So I guess a Manure training match against an Asian club would be perfectly acceptable.   💰💰💰💰💰💰💰⚽️💰💰

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

They said that the Premier League would help England. Well I dread to think where England would be in the world rankings if the Premier League has helped.

A proper break might help, but it'll benefit more foreign players than English ones.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.
