Yep. Missed the last one in 2008 because I was on a coach coming back from Morecambe away in the JPT. The epicentre was just off Spurn Point in the Humber so I hope those on the seafront have got a sandbag in front of their door...

Indeed it was. Isn’t that why we have the flood sirens? You know - those sirens that didn’t sound when we had that flooding a few years ago because it wasn’t tidal flooding.

Had just got back home in East Yorkshire from Morecambe when the house really started shaking with stuff on shelves nearly dropping off.

Didn't feel or hear this one at all. The last one I woke up for because the radiators were making a right racket rattling.

This one must have been much less powerful.

The tremor was supposed to have been felt up to 60 miles away according to news reports.

I would still have been up around that time but I was oblivious to it until i read the news this morning here in Scunny..

The one a few years, that was around Gainsborough area I think,  did wake me up.

It was a ‘local’ earthquake Kris. So in your opinion probably vastly overrated by fishy folk.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

This was exactly how I heard the one in 2008.  IIRC I was having a late night on my computer, early hours somewhere around 1-1:30am when I heard a noise like a freight train roaring past my house.

I suppose it was fitting for most local players, hugely overrated for the 5 seconds it made a rumble then it just ends up being a massive disappointment.
