Maybe Slade will go there if he does not get the Carlisle job.

Apart from being in a league higher I wonder what swayed him to go there,

A 6 month rolling contract OR   a 3  year deal

At the time we offered him the job, he was still at Macc and was offered a substantial sum to stay dependent on getting them promoted. I guess he pocketed the cash and Shrews will be compensating Macc accordingly.

How long did it take Paul Hurst to do something with GTFC on probably far higher budgets.

With Skinny-under-Latte roughly halfway between the two.

Quite probably, I'll be betting on us to be bottom half too

My point was he's a good young up and coming manager who has just got his club out of the Conference ,as winners not through the playoffs like some ear-cupping Yorkie I could mention, and if the ear-cupper can do the business at Shrewsbury with his lack of FL experience I'm sure Askey can.

So managers who have spent their whole career in non league are good, but we shouldn’t be signing young players who have played a handful of games in non league?

I didn't say that at all I simply said that he wouldn't necessarily fail at Shrewsbury as some other inexperienced managers like Lugole Hurst with a non-league background have done OK

Managing in the FL from the non-league with a squad of FL pros is a bit different to  the manager and his players both being inexperienced in FL

Why is every fornicator so up in the air because I thought Askey might do OK at Shrewsbury anyway
