Re-signs for a year - personally think his move into central midfield was key to our improvement at the back end of the season and pleased he's back.

Thought he looked excellent in the middle against Notts County. Wouldn't want him out wide again but if we're going to play with 3 in the middle then he's a good option with his close control and good footballing brain.

Trouble was he was cack for most of the season and one of the reasons we were so excrement.

He was poor against Coventry and cost us a goal and at FGR he was very poor as well, he can't tackle so I don't really see him being first choice, we need better than him in midfield

Don’t think he really played much in our worst spell.
Has ability and moving central really suited him.

I wasn't there so can't comment from my own observations, but wasn't this where he lost the ball in Coventry's half and they went up the other end and scored? Whilst it would be a mistake giving the ball away, there's still a lot to do for the opposition to half the length of the pitch and score surely?

He adds something to the side when he plays in the middle, doubt if he will be picked as a winger but you never know. He has good awareness of the pass to play so he’s a good offensive option. But I suspect he is signed on to give the manager the flexibility to hedge his bets a bit and let him switch to 3 in the middle that he used last season. Good signing really as long as we don’t expect him to be a world beater.

If Collins also signs up it gives us good experience of the professional game which is required. Remember driving home from one match and due to reception problems had to switch to BBC Lincoln after they had won at Chesterfield and Steve Thompson was saying he thought Chesterfield would go down would go down as their team was too young and lacked experience. Think on the day they had quite a few missing but I think experience can be overlooked as we all yearn for young, pacy and athletic youngsters to be added to the squad.

Good as a back up for when we need to slow the pace of a match we're winning.

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

Good news, completely changed my opinion of him under MJ.

We talk of creativity from MF and he gave it when moved centrally, yes he needs”legs” around him, but pleased to have him onboard

Hmmm. He did OK later in the season but not much more than that. If he's a first choice, you can't imagine we'll dominate the midfield in too many games. Lots of experience, though, so hopefully will be able to add something.
