A good honest interview, we all knew it was close but a three-year deal. settled family and the feel-good Jolly factor swung the balance.

If we had gone down it would have been a different story but things look a lot clearer and more promising now.

Level headed young man.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

A couple of times, ibn this interview and the one on I follow, he mentioned 'sitting down with John'.

Credit to 'John' for making it happen.

Which one. John or Macca ?? 😉

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

This has probably changed my mind over a season ticket too!

Interesting that Macca sat down with John. I though at this level the manager is given his budget and negotiates with the players within these boundaries? He would then have to get things rubber stamped.

If non footballing management are involved shouldn't that be the CEO?

I'm not sure how it works at other clubs by I do know several weeks ago, Jolley gave John his 'A List' of player targets and as far as I know it was left to John to contact agents and negotiate finances.
