Anyone else watching this?

Notts awful for 44 minutes - Cov cruised into a 2-0 lead and could've had Steve Ogrizovic in goal. But County have just got one back to make it 2-3 on aggregate.

Hopefully Coventry hold on as Nottingham is a great away day.

..and getting rid of Cov gets rid of a bigger budget

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Notts just had a goal wrongly ruled out for offside.

Then Cov score a cracking (offside!) 3rd

Sooner VAR is introduced in these big stake games the better.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Wrong.  Mistakes are part of the game and over time will even themselves out.

Try saying that if it prevents GTFC from possibly being promoted or the manager who loses his job because of excrement decisions.

It did versus Brizzle. However it made the next year even sweeter and that feeling is what it’s all about, not pacifying millionaires in the Premier and above who think the own the flipping game.

That's not so bad if you get your slice of fortune a year later, but what if you have to wait 10 even 15 years, bring in VAR the sooner the bette, it's all about the current match, not what might come your way sometime in the future.

All this talk about refereeing decisions brings back THAT goal that
Coventry were gifted at BP earlier in the season.

If ever there was a time when common sense should have been applied
rather than the " letter of the law " that was it.

Nevertheless, they were a class apart from County last night.

It could just as easily work in your favour. Awarding a goal the ref had initially ruled out, or denying the opposition a goal for an unseen infringement.

Happy to.  Our shocker from the ref in the Bristol Rovers game was paid back to us with a soft penalty against Braintree.  In 1991 we were denied a clear penalty against Bolton Wanderers but by the end of that season John Cockerill's first against Exeter was (maybe?) offside but given, so karma worked itself out.  There are loads of examples, but these are part of the story of football.  England being cheated against Argentina in 1986 is part of football folklore, and the feeling we're "owed one" is part of the narrative of the game and being a fan.

No way was the penalty v Braintree soft. The one v Swindon was soft!

I agree though - VAR is shite.

Technology should be used for "scrimmages" at corners and for spotting diving bstrds.

As per Abdul, not having that HH. No way was that a soft penalty against Braintree. Plenty of refs would not have had the balls to give it, but it was as clear a penalty as you will ever see.

Also that first goal against Exeter was never offside either. Replays showed at least 2 Exeter players slow to come out when the kick was taken.

His 2nd goal was the one more likely to be disallowed as he seemed to go through the back of the Exeter defender.

Our Teutonic cousins would have that as karma for 'der Wembley-Tor'. But it still rankles with me. The cheating little, chubby ba-stard.

The so called shocker wasn't a disallowed goal, it was never a soft penalty against Braintree and Cockerill's goal wasn't offside so you will have to better than that.
