Cowley’s failing this season was under performing in the summer and January transfer windows.

You cannot win promotion with a squad of just 19 players.

Yes they scraped into the play offs, but they did not have enough strength in depth.

That showed towards the end of the season, because they had a lot of unfit players, being forced to play through injuries. Not enough decent players in the squad to do otherwise.

Arguably their best player this season has been Neil Eardley, a terrific attacking right sided full back. But because of the lack of quality in numbers, he was playing not even fit and on the left.

For a club that made such a lot of wonga last season, and a board that was happy to use the money to go up again, I can only conclude that the inexperienced Cowley’s failed to assemble the squad in quality and numbers to get the job done.

After all, whilst we’ve been concentrating on hopes for survival, they was hardly pulling up many trees. Spent most of the season outside of the play offs and only just scraped in. Didn’t perform very well against the top teams either.

Failure = Failure

See you next season Imps. We are now basically no better off or worse off than each other again now. The table now reads zero points each

It'll be very interesting how many of the recent fake Lincoln glory hunters disappear next season only having known success.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

When something doesn’t go Cowleys way he loses it and throws his toys out of the cot. The players see this and also get frustrated, then lose their edge. Prime example tonight 😆. See you next season Lincoln. UTM

Why do people make such bitter posts. This screams but hurt to me. Lincoln where far better than us and deserved their promotion play off place. Just like we deserved to stay in the league. They may be a rival, but to make a post such as yours given our league finish is just embarrassing to see

Because the next best thing to your own success, is seeing your rivals failing. Football is all about rivalry, on and off the pitch. I didn't see much sympathy from the Gimps toward us when we got relegated to non league and a lot of them were hoping we would go down again, so haha, fook 'em.

Sorry but getting to the play-offs is success, although winning them is a degree better. It's a statement of intent and indicative of success in the future. It attracts players to the club, and ensures good season ticket sales the following season.
