Can anyone with iFollow summarise?
This practically sums up what was said.
  • Assistant Manager vacancy – Speaking to someone currently in regards to replacement.
  • Back room staff additions addictions – Over time might add more quality back room staff, assistant manager is the priority.
  • Video / Performance analyst – Asser Lutu has left and returned back to London, analysis maybe done differently when new assistant comes in.
  • First signing  – Within the next 7 to 10 days. Looking in all areas for players including Europe and all levels of football as well as players he already knows. 17 players left including 6 loans and big recruitment drive, not necessarily 17 more.
  • New Contracts – Decision one way or another on the offers of new contracts within the next few days.
  • Last season loan players – Possible that 1 or 2 previous loan players might be looked at bringing back who impressed Jolley.
  • Danny Collins – Can help us move forward in a number of areas, and Jolley rates him highly.
  • Akheem Rose – Jolley seen him train regularly and someone he decided has a lot of potential, likes the way he works and as a person. Biggest asset is his speed, very fast player, still young and needs to improve.
  • Players kept on at Grimsby Town  – Siriki Dembele, Reece Hall-Johnson, Max Wright, Harry Clifton all important.  Ideally want young and local players. Mitch Rose and Cardwell both played important part towards end of the season. Cardwell needs to score goals, but overall contribution has been great, have to remember it's only his first season as a professional League player.

  • Talks ongoing with new players & agents though, obviously given the very early stage of the market, players are reluctant to commit one way or another. Which is understandable
  • Would hope there’ll be some movement in the next 7-10 days
  • Possibility that he’ll revisit some of the players we had on loan last year
  • Wants a certain type of player (work rate) to fit in with type of football he wants to play
  • Other aspects, like character, important. Mentions he wants players who buy in to what it means to play for GTFC as there are places you could earn a higher wage or live a more glamourous lifestyle.
  • Currently in talks with a potential assistant manager
  • Video analyst (Asser Lutu was it?) has left club to move closer to family in London. Hopes that assistant he is speaking to will be able to fulfill that role, should he be successful in recruiting him
  • Talked about Akheem Rose, like the look of him and will have a chance to stake a claim when they return to training. Same with Cardwell.

About the long & short of it.

Back room staff addictions

Seriously though, there's more positivity and cheeriness in that one summary than in all those miserable months suffered under Slade. Feels good to be a Town fan again.

Don't think we have ever had a manager with his head switched on as much as Jolley. He has the drive for sure.

Pretty accurate summaries from Nelly and ska face, looking forward to next season, and news about signings.

Everything Jolley says is inspirational. That's not really any news in that update but the manager makes it sound interesting and is very informative

Pity we haven't got a chairman to match.
