Not a mega money man no, there was something like 100-200k a season mentioned for 4-5 years. It was going to supposedly be getting the infrastructure sorted when we had the very dark days of hardly any staff running the club. Not sure any of it went on player budgets, in fact the Cowleys had a lesser budget the conference season than when Moyses was in charge.

£350k per season.

In the play off it seemed Lincoln had more staff than subs on the bench

We have drastically increased off the field staff - Physios, performance staff and so on.
However we do tap in to the Universities a lot to enhance off field stuff.

I think it is fairly obvious we have cash, but Impish is right we went for 20 players (And paid them accordingly), as opposed to 30 mediocre players.
We will have a bigger squad this season though as too many were managing injuries and this highlighted our squad. We also have spent 1.3 Million on a very decent training ground for this level of football.

I would not be surprised to see a few leave either, rumours someone has activated Woodyards release clause - I for one would sell him, he is decent but if we want to move forward we need better. Arnold will go (Decent lad, but cannot cut it at league level).

Will be an interesting Summer I am sure for both clubs - I am delighted with our first signing, Goal scoring winger/Midfielder is what we have missed.

Port Vale have been pretty busy so far, signed quite a few new players already.  I wonder how much they bid for Dennis?

Not sure, but according to this Bradford City are still interested in him and they had agreed £175K with add-ons back in January before Chesterfield pulled the plug last minute >> http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/16245317.Striker_Dennis_is_still_a_Bradford_City_target/

Mansfield Town have signed highly-rated defender Matt Preston from Swindon Town, he turned down offers from a number of clubs to sign for the Stags >> https://www.mansfieldtown.net/news/2018/may/stags-sign-swindon-defender/

The 23-year-old centre-back previously amassed over 40 League One appearances for Walsall in League One, before making the switch to the County Ground last September after failing to agree terms on a two-year contract with the Saddlers. Preston played 26 times last season but did not feature after Phil Brown joined as boss in March because of injury.

Peterborough United have signed midfielder Alex Woodyard from Lincoln City on a two-year deal.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Cambridge United have re-signed George Taft on a two-year deal following his release by League Two rivals Mansfield Town >> https://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/sport/george-taft-returns-cambridge-united-14723386

The 24-year-old centre-back but can also be deployed at left-back completes the move to the Abbey Stadium after three previous loan spells, including one goal in 29 appearances last term.  The 6ft 5in Leicester City Academy product previously won promotion from League 2 with the Brewers in the 2014/15 season, during which he made 30 appearances.  A former England schoolboy, Taft represented his country at under 18 level where he scored his only international goal against Poland in 2010, before appearing five times for the under 19s.

Grimsby Town have signed Alex Whitmore on a free-transfer from Chesterfield on an initial one-year-deal.  He previously worked with Mariners boss Michael Jolley when he was in charge of Burnley's Under-23s >> https://www.grimsby-townfc.co.uk/news/2018/may/whitmore-becomes-first-summer-signing/

The 22-year-old centre-back made 11 appearances on loan at Bury last season and has also had temporary spells with Morecambe, Chester and Gateshead. Whitmore joined the Spireites on a two-and-a-half-year deal in January and scored once in 16 games.

Cuthbert began his career at Celtic, but did not make a first-team appearance for the Glasgow club before joining Swindon in 2009. Oldham have re-signed Jose Baxter from Everton on an initial one year deal >> https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/jose-baxter-oldham-athletic-everton-14726109

The 26-year-old attacking midfielder first joined the Latics in 2012 and scored 17 goals in 50 appearances before leaving to join Sheffield United in 2013 for £500,000.  He spent three seasons there, but his closing months at the Blades was controversial, as he was handed a five-month suspension by the FA (three of which were suspended), for testing positive for ecstacy, which Baxter claimed was due to a spiked drink. He was suspended by his club again in February 2016, before he was then released in May 2016.

Baxter was offered a 12-month contract by former club Everton in January 2017, with the offer of a contract set to commence in July 2017 upon the expiration of his ban from professional football.

Notts County have signed Tom Crawford, for an undisclosed fee from National North side Chester >> https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/2018/may/crawford-signs-for-notts/

The 19-year-old central midfielder impressed during his breakthrough season, making 17 first-team appearances and scoring the winner in the victory at Barrow on the final day of the campaign, earning a call-up into the England C squad, who he made his debut for earlier this week in a 4-2 defeat against the Republic of Ireland.  Crawford has attracted the attention of a host of clubs including West Brom.
