Northampton Town have signed Andy Williams on a two-year contract from Doncaster. The ex-Swindon, Yeovil and Hereford striker missed five months of this season with an ankle injury.

The 31-year-old was the third top scorer in League 1 in 2014/15 and he then made the move to Doncaster Rovers, where he scored 29 goals in 106 appearances over three years, being the club's leading scorer with 16 goals in League 1 in 2015/16, then scoring another dozen times in 2016/17, helping Rovers to win promotion from League 2 at the first attempt >> https://www.ntfc.co.uk/news/2018/may/andy_williams/

The 24-year-old primarily a centre-back, whilst also capable of playing at right-back, who made 117 appearances for the National League side after making his debut in 2014-15, has agreed a two-year deal with the U's.

In his first season with The Shrews, Ellis played a big role in helping the club to promotion from League Two to League One as they finished runners-up in 2014-15. During his second season with Shrewsbury, Ellis had a loan stint with Carlisle United before making a permanent move to Brunton Park in the summer of 2016. Prior to that he helped Torquay United to promotion from the Conference Premier into the Football League.

Montgomery made 34 appearances as the Tynesiders finished 17th, with the stopper, who spent time at the Nike Academy before Joining Telford in 2015, keeping 12 clean sheets. The 28-year-old, 6ft 3in tall defensive-midfielder - started his career in the youth set-up at Plymouth Argyle before he made his League debut with Swindon Town. He also had spells at Newcastle United, Northampton Town, Colchester United and Yeovil Town, making over 300 appearances in his career.

In 2016, Banks signed for Oldham and has scored two goals in 40 games up to this point.
