Northampton Town have signed Andy Williams on a two-year contract from Doncaster. The ex-Swindon, Yeovil and Hereford striker missed five months of this season with an ankle injury.

The 31-year-old was the third top scorer in League 1 in 2014/15 and he then made the move to Doncaster Rovers, where he scored 29 goals in 106 appearances over three years, being the club's leading scorer with 16 goals in League 1 in 2015/16, then scoring another dozen times in 2016/17, helping Rovers to win promotion from League 2 at the first attempt >> https://www.ntfc.co.uk/news/2018/may/andy_williams/

Cambridge United have signed Louis John from Sutton United on a free transfer >> https://www.cambridge-united.co.uk/news/2018/may/louis-john-signs/

The 24-year-old primarily a centre-back, whilst also capable of playing at right-back, who made 117 appearances for the National League side after making his debut in 2014-15, has agreed a two-year deal with the U's.

Tranmere Rovers have signed Mark Ellis on a two-year deal. The 29-year-old centre-back was offered a new deal by the Cumbrians, but has elected instead to join their newly-promoted League Two rivals >> http://www.wirralglobe.co.uk/n.....n_two-year_contract/

In his first season with The Shrews, Ellis played a big role in helping the club to promotion from League Two to League One as they finished runners-up in 2014-15. During his second season with Shrewsbury, Ellis had a loan stint with Carlisle United before making a permanent move to Brunton Park in the summer of 2016. Prior to that he helped Torquay United to promotion from the Conference Premier into the Football League.
