1/ well done on appointing Michael Jolley. Every credit

2/ No excuses now, next week get this man on a long term contract. No 6 month rolling contracts. The turnaround has been remarkable. The way he has conducted himself has been exemplary. Every single Grimsby town fan are excited, overjoyed and amazed at the job he has done and what we can achieve under him. PLEASE get this man tied up on a long term deal (Cambridge and Lincoln amongst others have just tied up their managers on long term deals) we simply have to do the same

3/ Give Him FULL support and total control. Whatever decisions he makes, support them. Whatever he needs (give him it) with his background I’m sure he won’t leave us in a poor financial state.

This could be the start of a golden era for Gtfc. TIME TO ACT

However unpopular an owner might be (unless a creature like an Oyston) he can get the supporters back on side with the right appointment.
John Fenty chose the overwhelming favourite with the fans and, as isn't always the case, they were right. Promotion next season and Mr Fenty will be getting carried off the pitch on supporters' shoulders........or am I just being silly now?

Last six games, how good does that look. Along with four other teams -  joint second best defence.  Grimsby Town firing.

Sorry guys. But He’s fuked it up again.
He came over at the end. I guess hoping to be welcomed.
He just doesn’t understand how we feel. He categorically stated that we never
had any contact with Phil Brown. Telling one of the fans he had his head up his bottom.
He may feel wronged. But even if he’s right you have to be the bigger man. Once again, he hasn’t done himself any favours!!

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

I’m beginning to think that some of the players that we thought were rubbish were just being badly managed.

We have a few young players in the squad and maybe it was an accidental stroke of genius by the Board to appoint a manager who is used to coaching U23 sides.

I wouldn’t be too unhappy if the core of this squad was kept together with a handful of quality additions.

Interesting that McAlister has been nowhere near the squad lately so maybe Slade was right on one thing.

Best end to a season in 30years. 98 takes some beating but staying in the league trumps it

Christ you all wanted him sacked a few months ago. 6th place finish and he's now the messiah and can do no wrong
Update:  I think I've got this right - He was the messiah. He then wasn't. He then was again. Then it turned out he actually wasnt. He turned into one big huge messiah again. Now he's not actually the messiah we thought he was . Now I'm hoping he rises again quickly

What credit does Fenty take. It’s a board decision and Jolley was third choice wasn’t he? Bit like Hurst they fell over a good manager they didn’t pick him

Aye. More by luck than judgement.

JF IS the 'Board' along with his stategically placed puppets, he is extremely unlikely to sack himself!
Anyway, brilliantly done Michael Jolly and players, so long as the manager doesnt'  have his hands tied too tightly i am very confident of a successful season next term.

Therefore , it was the Boards decision to hire Newell, Woods, Bignot and Slade.

Lessons learned for sure, Unity, positivity and calm. So many shout without a plan B and it is madness. JF has made a lot of bad decisions BUT he remains a town fanatic. I keep saying be careful what you wish for , this club is only for fans, this is not and will not be a brand or a great money spinner,
Again we are all happy , time to restructure a bit but I say unity , we have a common cause, fantastic supporters and we are a football league club utm

John Fenty is a real fan, his emotions get the better of him, but thats being a supporter. He's a true fan but the worst chairman in terms of success. I am sure he has selflessly put his own money in. Most you hear is rumour about him. Who is waiting to take over and fans running the club.....do me a favour. Slade was useless, never had a promotion or relegation as teams got rid before they went down. Hurst was given too much time, should have had us promoted at least 2 yrs before. I can go on, but truthfully who takes over. No, as it stands we are stuck with an owner who is a fan but not very good as a board spokesman/chairman.
Who's next, where are they coming from.
I am a fan along with John Fenty, I just disagree with many things.
Lets hope we all get together an push for promotion next year as champions, who ever is owner. I want Jolley to remain as manager. J J is a revelation. Rose is showing skills I didn't think he was capable of.
James McKeown has to stay...UTM.

We are all Town aren't we ?

So lets forget what has gone on in the past,

Fans please just support the team which you always do,

Board and Fenty in particular just do your job and don't give anymore grief to the fans,

I think we could go on another run like we did under Alan Buckley going from D4 to D2 (Championship)

Lets not spoil in by falling out all the time,

John when you went quiet for weeks was good keep it up.

I can not remember feeling this positive for the coming season for years and years.

I agree with grimsby pete it would be nice to have a season when we put all our efforts into supporting MJ and the team, I also think we have a real find in MJ and perhaps with his influence we will see a better atmosphere with the supporters and the board as I am sure he will influence JF. let us at least give it a chance. I appreciate this is only my opinion but the way all the supporters got behind the team for the last couple of months was amazing and shows what can be done.We are all Town.
