If that is correct it is fantastic news the JOLLEY factor kicks in straight away well done GTFC for using their noggin and getting the iron in the fire while it is burning. M.J. has saved us from possible oblivion he has undoubtedly increased next seasons ticket sales, he as given the players' belief and togetherness again and he as brought club and fans together once more. Our home form in particular in front of big crowds has been excellent improving all the time. Quite simply M.J. has been a breath of fresh air to everybody in our club god knows we have needed this for years. Give the man a proper contract he as more than earnt one. |

I know we all want to ride on a wave of optimism but.. when asked about sales a couple of days after launch, the club let it be known they'd taken £4k online. That's only about 12-14 season tickets. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for them going on sale early, but I hate the way the club have previously grandstanded the number of sales to the fans like "broke the £100k barrier" with a condescending tone like we've all got two and threepence in the bank. I hope they stop doing that. Just announce the number of tickets sold, not try to be Billy Big Bollox by trying to make it look more impressive by using £££s. The figures are never that impressive anyway when you break it down into number of actual tickets or bumper crowds when they're no different from last season's average. It seems like a moan, but I hope in the future they can announce certain things with a bit more class, a little less vulgarity and with a little bit more thought to avoid sounding or looking a bit tinpot. Call me fussy or just a supporter wanting my club to be presented in the best possible light to the public and also perhaps to potential signings. .
It's like they've done a pretty good video of Saturday (club videos are generally a strong point) and then got the title wrong (All Town Aren't We not All Town Are We). There's loads of really small non-time consuming stuff that would be easy to get right to raise the club's reputation tiny step by tiny step but they just haven't been able to do it in the past. I cringe at some of the basic errors and lowering of standards. Maybe MJ should ask for some overtime..

Who is to say he doesn’t have a proper contract already? I thought MJ dealt with that issue when he was asked the embarrassing question on the radio. |
