That defeat to Chesterfield in 2010 is what knocked the stuffing out of us. We were in such a good position and that Lester double did us in. Think we lost our next game 3-0 at home to Torquay.

Really felt that we'd have survived had we taken all three points that night.

Must admit, I'm a little surprised to see Barnet and Chesterfield where they are. A few weeks back Barnet were a lost cause and Chesterfield were the ones to watch out for. Barnet could yet pull off an incredible escape while Chesterfield fell to pieces.

Possibly down to the pressure Chesterfield have a much bigger fanbase the other alarming thing for me and you can include Morecambe they all 3 have new or newish grounds so has that had a knock on effect on the 3 Clubs budgets?

Tell you what, talking of relief I have been sleeping better since Saturday. For weeks before then, every time I went to bed a every possible match permutation for all of the relegation rivals would be going through my head.

Now all I see as I drift off to sleep is the sight of the Matt's goal and the subsequent ruck by the corner flag. Fantastic scenes!

When you think about it, for five of the last six seasons we have been fretting about results in April/May either for a play off spot or relegation.

What stress these guys put us through!

lets just hope there's a 'happy ending'

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

Rumours abound on social media that Morecambe will fold if they go down. The club have been fighting a rearguard action for several years now.

The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

But they have just got new owners. Surely they wouldn't buy the club and fold it up two weeks later? Or is there a sinister plot regarding the ground they own?
