The one thing that successful sides all have in common is scoring late goals in games that turn defeats into draws and draws into wins. It's hugely evident that Jolley now has the team believing in themselves right until the final whistle, and the amount of late goals we have scored recently is the reason we are now still a football league side. It's really remarkable how those handful of late strikes have transformed us and there is nothing better than snatching a win right at the death.

I remember saying after the Vale game, that is RS was still in charge our tails would've dropped after they scored & we'd have lost.

Two key things that, in my opinion, Jolley has brought that have contributed to the late goals.

1) Confidence and belief.  mariner83 is spot on that even as early against Port Vale we had improved belief.  Heads would have dropped and we would have lost 3-0, 4-0.  If ever there was a turning point in the season it was McKeown's penalty save.

2) Fitness.  There is absolutely no way on earth the vast majority of the players who finished the game on Saturday would have had the energy to go straight back at County after their equaliser as recently as two-months ago.  It just wouldn't have happened.  If anything they would have folded and County would have nabbed a winner.

This makes Jolley's achievements look even more remarkable when you consider the length of time here, but combined with the improved organisation and resilience it makes you wonder what the hell Russell Slade was actually doing with them in training on a day-to-day basis.
