World Cup Sweepstake

FIRST SWEEPSTAKE NOW FULL BUT WILL TAKE ENTRIES FOR A SECOND ONE IF I CAN GET ANOTHER 32 ENTRANTS


I was going to wait until the end of the season but thought I'd mention it now, whilst the forum is still busy.

I am planning on running a World Cup Sweepstake. Obviously this would be limited to 32 entries.

I plan to charge £10 a team which will give me £320.

Prizes I plan to award will be £180 to the winner, £90 to the runner-up, £25 for the first team to lose on penalties and £25 for the worst team in the group stages.

I won't be taking entries until after the season finishes but if you want to register your interest then please post on this thread and I wil be in touch when I start to take entries.

Okay, now things are all sorted for The Mariners this season, (just the last game at FGR to come), I will start taking entries for this. I was going to wait until after the FGR game but then I though that some people who have said they will enter may not log on here until next season.

Entries are £10 per team to be sent by Paypal to lesbrechin@hotmail.com (please choose the option of sending money to friends or family, as this incurs no charges for either of us).

I will put a deadline of the end of May for entries to be in and then if anyone hasn't sent me their entry fee by then I should be able to fill any spaces before the competition starts on the 14th of June. If you wish to do a direct bank transfer and don't have my details (details still the same as always) then PM me for them.

People who have said they will enter are as follows. If your name is here but you have changed your mind then let me know so that I can make any spare places available.

When I have all the entries in then I will do the draw and post it on here.

A decent early response to payment with 14 of the 32 entrant already paid. As I mentioned before as long as I receive payment by the end of this month then that's okay. That will then give me 2 weeks to fill any spaces left by anyone who doesnt pay.

2nd sweepstake appears to coming on well as we now have 23 people interested. Just need another 9 though to make running a 2nd sweep viable. Anyone who's expressed an interest in the 2nd sweep, don't send any money yet until we see that we've got enough to run with it.
