Just looking at the match odds and we're comfortable favourites despite our awful run.

Sporting Life (pretty decent free tipping service) are tipping Chesterfield to beat us on Saturday at 12/5 (or 3.40 if you bet with decimals):

Let's hope we justify our price and hope Sporting Life have called it wrong!

Chesterfield probably is the value bet, but their away record is quite poor. Both teams need the win really, I'm not sure I would take the draw if I was in their position.

Still, we're going to win! I'd like to see a settled side for one though, swapping and changing every week just doesn't suit us.

More like 4.50. 3.40's not even half time.

I think you have both got it wrong.

12/5 in decimal odds for betting = 3.5

Half Time on Betfair for Chesterfield at this point in time = 3.9 to back  8.2 to lay

12/5 is definitely 3.4!

The odds on us losing have been ridiculous for weeks - Exeter were 3.00 to beat us (a 1 in 3 chance of beating a team with 3 points out of 39?!), Cov and Lincoln around 1.8, Carlisle 2.05 and Crawley 2.2.

Absolutely Abdul.

I know some fans can't morally bring themselves to bet on (or back against) Town, which I get, but if you're clinical there's money to be made. The bookies have overpriced our opposition and while Chesterfield are below us they've been in better form and 3.4 seems quite generous.

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

I loathe fractional odds. Cannot understand why anyone would want to use them! Try working out compound odds with fractional odds it is a nighmare! And you have to memorise loads of fractions and where they stand relative to one another (is 8/13 better than 4/6 etc).  Decimals are so simple!

Non-betting, just mathematical modelling: highlighted as one of the EFL 'matches that will matter' on this (excellent) site which predicts the chances of avoiding relegation for the 3 scenarios (78% if we win, 54% if it's a draw, and I'm not contemplating the third!)
