If the Beast from the East arrives again this Friday, don't volunteer to clear the pitch of snow.

This could enable Michael Jolley to have extra time with his inherited players to assess them, mindset them, (in to believing the team can win), get them fitter (especially some of the oldies) and pick a winning team.

This is in contrast to the Carlisle away game, where the Carlisle fans turned up to clear the pitch - believing 3 points were in the bag. (and they were).

That might work if the pitch wasn't cleared until about August

Was expecting to see some kind of offer today for the Good Friday game. Only four days away now, so a bit late if they are thinking of doing something. Has everyone given up?

I got my tickets BOGOF with the Vale ones.  Surely I’m not the only one 🤔

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

BOGOF tickets have already been offered for this game ginny.
But, it was so easy to seat my two free tickets directly in front of us, in the middle of the Lower that it appears not many have been taken.

I remember last time we went down I was willing, cajoling the players to keep us up. Cheering every attack and going mad every time we scored or the rivals for the drop messed up.

All I am doing this year is moaning on here more; it drains you in a way, the sure knowledge that we will always be in a mess till we get new owners, and even then it might be too late for the club as a whole.

I still use my season ticket but the passion has gone, at least for now. A relationship without passion is just a friendship and that is what the club and I are - just friends and not my all consuming passion.

Gallows humour from the fans seem to suggest they know whats coming; there doesn't seem to be the will to survive that there should be. Chesterfield have got the bit between their teeth after yesterday and will move heaven and earth to get out of it - can we match them?

I really feel for Jolley coming into this, but he has got to get them fired up for Fridays match which we must win. Things could look much better with just a win, and perhaps the fight to stay up will return.

I honestly think all these ideas are too late (getting the players to see what it means to us), or possibly counter-productive (packing the Park).

Anyone who hasn't been for a long while, or at all, will be disappointed if they're tempted back by cheap tickets. The atmosphere could quickly become worse. Better to have a few committed souls.

Or maybe I'm just feeling negative and jaded with the whole thing.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.
