18 games and seemingly no better
We know we must stick together and support what we have
We know all the fall out will be after,if we don’t survive
But what must we do,what must change in these 7 games to stand any chance of survival
Score Goals?
Yes but who and where will they come from?
Determination to survive
Have all the players really got that?
MJ?
Play the same team now and not chop and change
Get a result?
Somehow we must try and find a way to do this
Relegation
Not for me thanks , Done that been there and don’t want it again
If MJ or any of the players are reading this, we (this club and these fans) deserve so much more than our current plight
Come on Town!!

Getting Jackson back fit will be a big help! He's the only one capable of putting the ball in the net it seems!

Stay calm , don't panic. It's still in our hands.

We, the crowd, won the point in the last home game against Port Vale.

They will need us again this Friday. No matter what happens stay behind the team.

If we can push the them onto a victory, that may do wonders for the team.

If they still fail... at least you can say you gave it your best.

He has scored 15 goals in 126 games over approx. 5 years.

We have to support MJ and the players to the best of our ability.

Despite their limitations, most of the players are trying, and MJ is blameless.

We are not relegated yet, and might stay up if we win some of the remaining home games.

However, whether we survive or get relegated I think that we have to demand Fenty's departure with every avenue at our disposal. I think a season ticket boycott, and even a total boycott of attending games at BP are two options worth considering.

I can't see a positive future for the club while he remains in charge and his loans hang over us like the Sword of Damocles.. His record speaks for itself.

I thought Maaca inspired the crowd and that point, to be honest.

We took the biggest away gate in the division yesterday and gave them tremendous support(not bad for 18 games without a win) it counts for nothing though if the players are not bothered or good enough.

But you have summed up the conondrum.yes we fully support jolley, but we whip the legs from beneath him by not buying season tickets, not attending games and thus denying him the means to get us out of non league football.
I understand your thoughts but ultimately you run the risk of cutting off yournose to spite your face.
Caveat to that a I don't what the answer is and b I couldn't really blame people for staying away

It's interesting, MJ being blameless, because - as much as I agree with you - to someone from the outside looking in, MJ began his job with a six-point head start (or whatever it was when he took charge).

I only say this because it's how mate of mine (who doesn't support us) saw it.

He knows about the 18-game winless run but I don't think many people outside of GTFC appreciate just how bad a job Russell Slade did in building a squad.

He won't know the full context of the situation - it's not just been about a bad manager making bad signings, on bad contracts, playing bad football. It's also been about bad decisions from the board, bad PR, bad leadership all round.

Our club is so, so bad in so many departments it's difficult to explain to anyone who doesn't support us.

With that ratio he'd be our top scorer this season.

The fans have done their bit and will continue to do so.

It's all down to the players now.
Are they good enough?  I'm not too sure as the last 18 games has made me think not..

But here is hoping that they can dig in and start with a good 3 points on Friday.  UTM

I think you've summed up my position. Support until we're mathematically safe(!) or down, but I'm withdrawing my financial support from the club after that until there is a change at the top.  This might be cutting off my nose and it's also unfair on Jolley, but I'll still be here in a couple of years and he probably won't be.

We need to secure the long-term future of the club and that means risking short-term hurt. Even 1000 off the gate is £500k over the course of a season - the supporters are the club.

sounds like a plan

in a final desperate attempt to save us i've just stuck £30 on us to get relegated (2-1 at betfair if anyone cares to make some easy money). if that doesn't guarentee safety ,nothing will

As the club have tried almost everything to try to get our Sunday League players to acknowledge that they are in fact professional footballers, there is only one course of action now & that is to employ a hypnotist.
After all, there isn't much else, other than witchcraft or some other well tested motivational method.

Betting on us getting relegated isn’t such a bad idea, I’d happily lose say £50 if we stay up and equally happy to spend my winnings on drowning my sorrows when we go down......god I’m depressed at the mo.....

What do we do?

This is my club.

I will support Town until I die, no matter how good or how bad we are or people say we are.

I will support all the players no matter how bad some people say they are, to me they are the best players in the world.

I will support the manager and the coaching staff giving them the couragement and drive they need to find a way for the team.

I will support any person that calls themself a Town fan, any fan of Town is brother or sister to me.

This is my club.

John Fenty is a Town fan as I imagine the rest of the directors. So are they the 'uncle knob'eds' in your big GTFC family?

I think Jolley in his short time here will have an idea who can do a job for him,

So I expect a different side to play the next game based on what Michael has seen so far,

Then I think he will stick with the same team for the rest of the season barring injuries,

AND

That team is , ??????????

I have no idea

he has been brave so far and given most if not all available players a game, which is what he said we will do. he seems to want his team to play on the front foot which is fine but we have be very careless defensively, leaving attackers free and giving them too much room. Having said that we could do with a bit of good fortune like the Chesterfield's 1st goal which went in off their player's chest and he knew nothing about it and the second one which following a bit of a scramble fell to the striker in space. Incidents like that in our favour will be very welcome on Sat.

That's a bit like saying when you jump out of a 20th storey window, you have a height advantage on the bloke hanging off the first floor balcony.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Lets face it next season we are conference again.

Jolley must raid Burnley U23 so we have a chance.

They extended the playoff places who knows we might get back again.
