Did I hear right that Phil Brown was interested in the Town job but wanted a years contract and JF wasn't willing to give him more than a 6 month rolling.

Fenty would only offer him a 10 week contract.

Nothing would surprise me with this club. Jolley was in no negotiating position and would probably have accepted any terms to get into football. He may live to regret it.

Brown only contracted until end of season with Swindon also so ,no difference there to what we offered, he just didn't fancy the job I reckon.

Sometimes when you're thrown in at the deep end you manage to get more out of it than not having had the experience

I bet he's wondering tonight what he's let himself in for but one thing is for sure, he will be learning some valuable lessons that he will be able to take forward to the future, whether that is with us or with someone else

True but Swindon was probably a more attractive proposition when the job came up so he was happy to accept less.

Personally I could give two shits what we offered to Brown, it'd still have been a gamble appointing him. Let's not pretend he would be been guaranteed to keep us up?

He probably didn't want it really anyway, too much of a risk for him.
