Kris commons?

If he was fit, would be a great call. Scottish footballer of the year not so long ago and banged over 30 goals in for Celtic. Mid thirties, but short term deal would suit. But after not playing all season, he's probably a stone overweight and retired to the Caribbean.

When is the free agent deadline day? I've tried googling it but to no avail.

From my Football Manager experience it was always round about the 24th/25th March - is this reflective of real life?

The old skool deadline day used to be the last Thursday in March (remember that epic day when Cooke, Taylor, Robinson and Falconer rocked up at BP?), so maybe it's then?

I know it's a horrible thought but we could sign Nile Ranger. I doubt the shitlark illegitimate has been keeping himself in nick though. Technically, he's a lot better than our strikers. A deal with the devil? We are that desperate.

Could improve our shooting - providing he brings his shooters with him.

The Lone Ranger couldn't improve our strikers shooting.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you give him an excuse for him to escape from the wife and kids for the weekend and drink lots of beer.

Right now, there isn't many players i wouldn't take.

If Ranger will improve us in the last 7-8 games, then ill be happy.

It's such a weird, desperate situation we're in that I'd consider any weird and desperate solution. Ranger til the end of the season would be as weird and potentially positive move as is currently possible.

Sick of seeing the gutless wonders roll over, who from this bunch will be up for the fight in this run-in? Stevenage are a right bunch and that already has the makings of a grudge match, who'll be out there spurring us on, goading their fans and cupping their ears to them for a change?

When Martin Allen starts hassling the ref, irritating the already restless crowd and getting his players to do the dirty stuff needed to niggle the opposition, who in our powderpuff team will respond in kind?

Someone like Nile Ranger would, and kickstart the attack, and when he's done his stuff he moves on. Sounds ideal to me.

Jesus, I expected more x’s than a cross the ball competition. Shows how utterly desperate we are that our fans would accept that utter male masturbator. He is better than what we have though in my opinion. It’s just getting him to turn up for training without taking drugs that’s the problem.
