The top three winless steaks have all now taken place in the last 10 years, worse than anything in the previous 130 years since the team was founded. It's been a pretty miserable few years to be a Mariner, albeit with a period of relatively frequent wins in non-league (when our longest unbeaten streak of 18 happened from 10-Nov-2012 to 16-Feb-2013).

24 10-Oct-2009 to 27-Feb-2010
18 16-Aug-2008 to 08-Nov-2008
17 16-Dec-2017 to 17-Mar-2018

Take a bow Fenty, well done, you claim you saved the club, it doesn't feel like though, now Fcuk off.

Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.

Add to that in three out of the last 4 football league seasons we have been in a relegation scrap, and have been relegated out of the league altogether, should have been relegated the year before that if it wasn't for Luton's points deduction and are likely to be relegated this season.

All with a club of proud traditions, a fan base most lower league clubs would envy, great away support and a lot of potential in the correct hands. Meanwhile Accrington Stanley sit proud atop the league on minimal gate receipts.

I wonder what went wrong? Good job we had a saviour, a real fan, a hands on non chairman who excels at replacing light bulbs. Imagine life without him?

I could quite easily see us not winning again this season. Most games scoring from open play looks quite unlikely.

I think when we go down we have a a major task on our hands not to drop again, as we now from experience an instant return is unlikely.

No doubt we will rise from the ashes one day, but I agree it is unlikely to be next year. I think we will have to fall a bit further yet, till somehow we get rid of Fenty and the gang and rebuild a professional club from scratch. It pains me to say it, but that is probably where we are heading.

Last time was a novelty in non league, as much as we hated it, but we thought once we recovered we would go on to greater things. This time it would be a complete humiliation, the fans will not respond nearly as well and I agree it could be the cataylst for us to got the way of others - York, Stockport and Hartlepool.
