The Chinese comms party have only been commie in name for several years now. It's a one state capitalist country. If anything it's Russia following the Chinese path than the other way round Pete.

I doubt Russians are that bothered about any of the ruling regime lining their pockets, and any non-constitutional acts as long as they're stable and better off than they were. Plus add in the re-birth of national pride Vlad's brought them.
