Didn’t realise but apparently fox was on loan here in the summer.

The newest face in Town’s team this summer, former Stevenage defender Fox got his first chance to impress at left-back in South Lincolnshire.

It was a fairly comfortable start for the 24-year-old as neither team really took the game by the scruff of the neck early on.

As the game wore on, a few loose touches and wayward passes crept into his game, but he still managed to keep things fairly safe down Town’s left-hand side.

At least one more run-out will be needed before Slade can make any decision on Fox, and he may need to do a bit more to convince him he deserves a contract with the Mariners.”

Let’s be honest..... Slade didn’t fancy Pearson which says it all really but seemingly he also didn’t rate Osbourne, Clements or Jones.

Plus he seemed to think Dixon, Clarke, Kelly and Hooper where actually professional footballers!

I’d read nothing into the ability of a player because Slade didn’t fancy them!
