I suggest that until the end of the season, players are paid according to their player rating in the GET.
For example; if the rating is 5 then that player should get 50% of their current salary, player rating 6 then 60% of current salary and so on.
Keep the journeyman focused until they leave us in the summer.

This is why the players should be on a very basic weekly wage but well rewarded with win bonuses.

Good luck signing players with that wage structure.

Just sign decent players in the first place.

Using the GET is a ridiculous idea. It's the opinion of one man. A much better idea (and one I'm going to email JF about right now) would be to use The Fishy ratings. In theory Paul Dixon's pay could be determined by the votes of 7 billion people - it's why democracy was invented.

That’s just riddled with problems as Dixon, Clarke, Berrett, Hooper, Matt and Woolford would just get paid nothing as Town fans with axes to grind would just rank them poorly purley to deduct their wages, and by the way, who the hell would want to sign for us if we let “the Fishy Five” dictate wages? Stupid idea.

I think strikers should be paid for goals, defence only for clean sheets and midfield for turning up - it would save us a fortune

Let's get some decent players in by offering them some decent wages in the future.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Slightly more seriously, a FL survival bonus has got to be worth spending money on. Yes they got us in this position (with a lot of help from Mr Slade) but right now a few tens of thousands spent that way would be well worth it.

Better spent on buying in a couple of decent unattached players that can save us.

Got to ask why they're unattached at this point in time. I think we have to work with the resources we've got. In all likelihood there isn't anyone out there available that could be signed and will improve the squad.

It's a good idea and one that the board should be working on already. Maybe that's why Fenty was missing from the press conferences 😆

Is that permissible?

The contract for each player has to be registered with the EFL. Giving additional bonuses MAY be seen as making illegal payments and to re negotiate the contracts now would be totally impractical imo.

Yeah I think bonuses have to be registered before the start of the season.

You would get a lot of support in sending Hooper,Vernon,Dixon,Kelly,Woolford and Clarke on a paid holiday so at least they can`t feature in any matchday squad.

That's a good point so I've decided to factor in a Twitter vote too, by way of compromise.

Ah good point.

I'm sure some local businessman might want to proffer an ex gratis payment not from the club coffers

For the last 2 seasons we have 30+ players on the books at some time,

I suggest we stick to 22 and pay them what we have been paying the 30+

This would also give the youth players a chance to get on the bench at least,
