Eloquent. Said all the right things. No wild promises. Mr Day said the club's long term goal is Championship football in 5 years. Now that would be some achievement and brought a wry smile from Michael who quite rightly wanted to concentrate on what he called is a 10 game season, starting on Sat. He said he is happy to work with existing staff. My guess is "for now"

Articulate and clearly not phased by the task in front of him. Clearly didn't want to over-promise & under-deliver and he's also got a bit of a 'free hit' as others have said - keep us up and he's a bit of a hero, take us down and he can say the damage was already done.

I hope too many people don't get too hung up on his "we've got some good footballers" comments, he can't exactly say all the players are excrement can he.

The thing is that many have played at League 1 level or higher.

Speaks well and a likeable figure (at the moment anyway!).

He has the opportunity to be a potentially pioneering appointment within the English game. I just hope to god he takes it.

TBF after all the questions MD asked there were not many more specific questions left to ask a new face that is going to cut his teeth at GTFC.
Matt Dean showed how it should be done regarding searching questions,  asked without the abrasiveness of Burns or the  kindness of JT, good conference on how we may avoid the conference

No surprises there. The guy is articulate and can think on his feet.

Seemed a pretty straight talker. Realises the plight we are in, but is not phased by it. It's a shame such a crucial game is coming so early in his tenure, but he looks like a guy that can take pressure.

As I have said before, keeping us up with this squad is going to be very tricky, but for now at least, he is bring an air of quiet confidence.

If left to Wilko and Slade we would definitely have been relegated. Now at least we have a chance to stay up.
