Thought H-J was one of the few who had a half decent game last week. Ditto Summerfield (for a number of weeks)
Has Wilko lost it already (did he ever have it?) there are three on the bench (Vernam Dembele ans Suliman) who I would prefer to start.

Think a couple of those changes are good both Clifton, Cardwell and DJ for example but some are still getting in the side that they have absolutley no right to do.

McAllister is fit and ready to play , he told me himself which makes the fact that berrett gets in every week more strange .
No hall Johnson no dembele maybe injured but glad I saved my 18 quid today as I'm simply drained of motivation and any urge to go today.
Not felt like this for a while it's a strange feeling but as much as I hate to say it I simply can't get my head around the whole feeling of the club right now.

Fair play for picking Clifton. He deserves a chance.
He could have left out Berrett (FFS what has he EVER done?)Dixon, Hooper who've proved, time and again, that they are cr@p. No Ben Davies in the squad. Is he injured or ill? Ditto Summerfield - possibly the two pro's who shown proper commitment this season. The hot loan striker from Leeds? Not in the squad.
It just looks like a thrown together, raffle style selection to me from a man who doesn't know what he's doing in a management role.

All i can think of is Berrett must be one of those that just does it in training.
Not many contracted for next season i think inc Berrett so you may find he might get released.

Half the people who claim to be fans on here don't actually know what they want and don't have answers to the questions they are asking of the management or owners. Wish most would just stop moaning and start being positive and getting behind the team. Operation Promotion didn't get us promoted but the positivity wave that followed it throughout the season did. |

He has not got 100% fit yet, He has only played the odd game in 2 years then picks up a new injury or his old one returns, He needs at least 4 full games before he is ready to play for us, He went to York to do that but did not play much before an injury again. |

You could write this before the game. Town totally on top without actually creating much, they get a penalty from nothing (no way a pen) we get one at other end immediately (dubious) and miss it. Depressing stuff.

Don't blame the players they can't help being shite. Most of them don't want to be playing for Grimsby Town (and hopefully absolutely none of them will be next season)

They have none of that left to give, most of these players know they are out of contract in a few months or just on loan. They don't have to live with failure if they go down they just move on. This is the most gutless bunch of tossers we've ever assembled into a team. Only there for the money with no care what happens every week. They can talk big in interviews but on the pitch they don't care just going through the motions. Good riddance to the lot of them at the end of the season. If Fenty dares offer any of them a new contract I will boycott next season too. |

Don't blame the players they can't help being shite. Most of them don't want to be playing for Grimsby Town (and hopefully absolutely none of them will be next season)
The man to blame is Slade, sitting comfortably at home with a smirk on his fat face. In a way I wish we hadn't sacked him - if we are going to go down I wish he was still in post to get all the flak, not sure Wilko will deserve it (as much as Slade anyway)

You could write this before the game. Town totally on top without actually creating much, they get a penalty from nothing (no way a pen) we get one at other end immediately (dubious) and miss it. Depressing stuff.

I agree. I think we have had it. We have ben easily the worst team in this division (and therefore the country!) for the last two months. 6 goals in 14 games? Fair points but I just can't see where a win is coming from. It's not like the woods run where we drew a lot - we've lost 10/13. Speaking of Woods, winning no games between now and the end of the season would extend the run to 25 games - exactly the same as 09/10. Maybe an off the bottom winner next week can spark something, here's hoping! |

The kind who give a toss about there club and not sit behind a keyboard calling someone an idiot while looking like a bigger one themselves.  |

Absolutely devastated
Probably going to get lots of red crosses, but wouldn't Martin Allen fancy managing us for the remaining games? Defo would not want him long term if we stayed up. Been in the dog fight before and has survived - he knows what it's about. Might even stick around IF we do go down and I'm sure he'd be the man to take us back up.
Just hate how naive John is right now. We're in trouble.

Something drastic needs to happen in the next couple of days - like Martin Allen to give us any hope. It needs a panic response to a really difficult situation we find ourselves in. Forget about long term, or even medium term, we need to pay big bucks to somebody who has done it before to come in for the last 11 games and stop the slide. I don't think he will do it though, and myself I think we have blown it. |

We need 3 wins and 3 draws at least. It won't happen regardless of who comes in as the squad is not good enough in either box, not their fault BTW. For whatever reason Slade & Fenty have allowed the better players to leave the club and replaced them with zero quality which is what we saw yesterday and in recent weeks. Since winning promotion I find it hard to identify when this club has made a good decision both on and off the field. The below need to share the blame, - Hurst - Amond - Bignot - squad size - Slade - Just completely clueless e.g. Pearson - Fenty - See above! It's over we are going down and need to think about how we don't end up like Stockport & York with a double drop. |
