Phil Brown had a change of heart last minute not to take the job was offered the post yesterday. Club was hoping to announce him new gtfc manager today.

No way were the club going to announce anything today.

The best you would have got today was an announcement that a news conference is called for the following day at 10am.

This, and your previous posts, suggests this was bullshit

Humberside saying he was offered the job. Suggesting it may have been turned down due to length of contract and wanting to bring his own backroom staff in.

It's also worth remembering that he's still on gardening leave. So he's still being paid his Southend salary.

But that stops if you get another job.

6 month rolling and Wilko as assistant were the sticking points then?

Surely rosler ex Fleetwood would be worth approaching? Got Fleetwood to the play offs last season and I reckon he would be a better appointment than brown anyway.

If I remember rightly he has applied before years ago

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,

Probably took one look at the Fishy and thought, screw that!

Of course. It's always the fans' fault.

Brown is 58, and his best days are behind him, we could do with someone 20 years younger who has yet to make their reputation in the management game.

Well intercourse you Rob! I've got less than 3 years of worthwhile employment by that standard.

I hope not, if they thought he was the best man for the job. If he was the number one target, surely they realised he would make more demands than some other candidates?

Just catching up on today's news and hoping all this social media stuff is all smoke screens with something around the corner very soon.

Do I need to wake up and smell the coffee?
