I for one would have been happy with this appointment, an experienced manager who is not afraid to say what he thinks.

However when you are looking to re-build your reputation following a sacking you would not choose to do it with our current gutless shower of sh1t !!!!!

Nothing would surprise me about Brown. The deciding factor for him would likely be the quality of the speaker system and karaoke at BP.

A guess - he was offered the job, said yes then came back to ask something more (budget/wages/contract?) and was refused.

I reckon he's give it a swerve due to money or length of contract.

Brown - and his agent - are not daft. They know we didn't fancy him so have tried to save face as it becomes apparent he isn't going to get it.

Let's not forget he declared interest via Mike White on Humberside. They're just his personal mouth piece to stop him looking daft.

Exactly, it's not really adding up. Brown seems to be in the area, there's an announcement at 1.00 apparently but it won't be to announce Brown and the bookies have gone a bit quiet.

Now expecting something out of leftfield to stun us all. But not Wilko
