Just watching the local news down here,

The silly female reporter said " Ipswich went to Norwich on Saturday and failed to win again and their winless run is now 9 years !!!!!!!!!!!!

AND

We thought we were bad.

Irrespective, a winless run of 13 games is tragic, in fact its bloody awful!

Is that the same woman who said after 9 players were sent off in one game in Brazil "I didn't know refs carried that many red cards" 😉

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Maybe the winless run is specific to Ipswich's form at Carrow Road. It's perfectly plausible that they haven't won there in 9 years.

Sorry for being pedantic but it was yellow cards, if it was reds the game would have been abandoned before the 9th red.......I think.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

It was red cards and it was abandoned. Some film of it on BBC Sport page. Bit of handbags to be honest.
