In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

I had a little bit (not much mind) sympathy with your point until this post. Marcus Newell has won stuff and Askey hasn't seems to be your reasoning. The circumstances both managers are working in seem to have no bearing whatsoever in your argument.

I've won leagues and cups at an amateur level. Perhaps i was good enough to play for England if only someone had given me the chance?

Everybody as friendly as ever with those who share different views, as we will never agree on a suitable appointment I would at least expect, whoever gets the job, that the majority of fans would give the new guy a chance and go down to BP to see if things have improved.

Obviously Tagg will not be in that majority
