Oh and the 'six game rule' John - when did the 6 games start? 12 games ago?

Maybe John can't pull his trigger finger to sack Slade because it is stuck elsewhere.

Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.

Jesus’ disciple Peter, picked up a fish to get the tribute money from it, Jesus left his thumb print on the fish, bless'ed is the Haddock.

Never mind his finger, he needs to put his hand up and say that he's got this totally wrong. Then he needs to sign the cheque for Slade's severance out of his own bank account. Then he needs to apologise to the fans, in particular Nigel Lowther for the total lack of respect he has shown us. Then he needs to write off his loans and appoint a chairman to run the club whilst a buyer is found.

This is it. Nothing else needs to be said really.

If the lights are on, is there anyone home?

Your words last Sunday John.
.

John says lots of things;

Russell only said this morning he thinks it was a shrewd decision because he’s available and probably 10 games into next season, he wouldn’t be available because he’s in demand. Halfway through the season if he was available, he’d still be in demand but right now clubs aren’t changing managers so it’s opportunistic in that sense and that’s one of the reasons it’s been possible to bring Russell, and on top of which he thinks it’s a good time in terms of being able to assess the players

I think we’ve got a very good squad, and one of the reasons that has probably dogged the past management regime is that there are 31 players there, plus three young pros. That’s an awful lot of players to manage, and you’ll get cliques and unhappy bunches, and really we need to get back down to the requisite number which is 22 senior pros,

. And particularly with Paul Wilkinson – I think it’ll be a cracking duo.

His man management will be a massive part of progressing the football club – making sure the players are aware what you want from them, why they’re not in the team, and why they are in the team.

looking to relocate within 3-4 years is what the developer is hoping

our aspirations for next season (this) is to get to 50 points as soon as possible

I think most of the above, said at the time of revealing Slade, could be called into question.

Add Russ saying at the same time ;

our target is to progress and to take the club into League 1 next (this) season

there is no doubt in my mind this club is capable of being in League 1 and its my job to ensure that happens

its all about next season (this)and we intend to be a force

Again not been delivered has it ?

All previous targets/ ambitions / hopes failed...  the self confessed 6 game rule of thumb completely ignored ...

Falling gates, zero football fortune ( or winning cup matches as its otherwise known ) , relegation form ,

This is not a supporter just moaning, who was anti Slade from the off, just an expression of my opinion or me being subjective...its all..

FACTS, FACTS, FACTS  for the attention of those that like to get the facts right.

It is often overlooked that Fenty put this management dream together. Heard from a number of independent sources that they don’t get on too.

Surely the board would be aware of that? Plus the negative effect it would have on the players?

It wouldn't surprise me if they were unaware of it. They don't show any evidence of acting on information.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

I can't say I agree with the "Well Done John" sentiments....he had no choice so it's not like it's anything inspirational from him

You're right though in that he should have done it weeks ago Pete......for someone previously so trigger happy it's strange how it's taken so long to come about

Fingers crossed now we can get someone to "get the best" out of our motley crew
