Yawn. I'm jealous of their manager and their board for sure but would I care if we'd got to a final of a competition where we were the only team who'd taken it seriously? No, I wouldn't.

As for getting excited, I pointed out that towncryer was on here in the early hours of the morning. Sure be excited, that's fine, but you must be an absolute sad act to do something like that.

Also, it's hilarious that you rate Palmer but think Bogle is/was terrible.

Swin had a bee in his bonnet that Bogle was not only over rated but had an injury that would crock him, and he'd be a waste of money. He prayed night and day for Bogle's 'dodgy'knee to go so he could be proven right, it didn't happen and he's been pi$$ed at him ever since.

Maybe Bogle could PM him and they could bury (another) hatchet eh?

The competition is completely tainted. Their fans have sold their souls to Shaun Harvey.

Well done Imps I am pleased for the genuine fans who stuck with them through the hard times. They are a Club on the up and fcuk being embarrassed by them we should copying them with what they do off the field. They are a small league 2 Club getting things right and if they can keep it sustained for a while they will become a small league 1 Club with aspirations of the Championship.

Yep, wouldn't disagree with that. Pleased for Helgy and the like who have stuck by them. It's not easy supporting a failing lower league club year after year, so when the good times do arrive, you have to savour it. Still think this competition is a joke mind, and it shows the standard when a relegated Coventry won the last one.

As for all this about Lincoln being a progressive, forward thinking club. Is that really the case, or did they just get lucky with their choice of manager? Winning leagues and doing cup giant killing acts tends to pull in the crowds and makes life a lot easier for everyone. They were mid table non league not so long back with Moyses in charge. They still might be if they hadn't got Cowley or he had failed.

Our chairman got the SA investor on board who got the right manager in. Though it's not only about the Cowleys. Clive Nates has also helped attract a lot of decent people into the club, they have brought in business acumen and forward thinking with aims to improve things on and off the pitch and help galvanise the club .  We were down to the barest of bones staff and board member wise, apathy amongst the fans and a terrible feeling of stagnation and resignation to our fate.

The last 18 months have been a minor miracle, it probably won't last and the bubble will burst to a degree at some point. Even if/when the Cowleys move on though I expect the infrastructure will be in place that keeps the club at a much healthier place than previously.

Oh come on micky, credit where credit's due.
We have the biggest support in this league home and away although notts and cov are trying to overtake us by giving thousands of free tickets away for some of their games.
We currently have 3 times as many fans as you so if we're a small time league 2 Club what does that make you?

Your clubs finished. Fenty is going nowhere and let's face it if he does you'll be gone a lot quicker than the slow death your club is suffering at the moment.
You have nothing , absolutely nothing to offer any potential investors. John would have literally give the club away to get anyone within 10 miles of cleethorpes and is he going to do that ??? Is he heck. He's put to much in to pull out now. Your stuck with him and he's a dinosaur and your only going one way. The only hope you have got is that when Slade does eventually go that somehow and by some miracle John gets the right manager in but what's the chances of that ???
Good luck to you cos your going to need it with him at the helm but you can have as many demo's as you like, he ain't going nowhere and there's no one out there to save you.

Heard the same big mouth talk from Scunthorpe when they went through a purple patch, now their gates are just above what they had before which will happen to Lincoln once the Cowleys get an offer from the league above, all managers look to move on, even the great Alan Buckley did it and the Cowleys aren't in the same league as that legend.

It's funny that they spent so long in our shadow that as soon as they get a bit of sun they don't go out an enjoy it they turn away from it so they can mock us in the dark, how bitter they are, just like the Scunts.

Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.

Jesus’ disciple Peter, picked up a fish to get the tribute money from it, Jesus left his thumb print on the fish, bless'ed is the Haddock.

Cheers Impish. It is quite remarkable how quickly you have improved in 18 months. Makes it all the sweeter when you have been in the doldrums for so long. Still think it is mainly down to the manager and getting the right one is the hard part, as we know only too well.
