Lots of noise and shouts of we want Fenty out

Met with quite a few boos

Do the booers not realise that Fenty is killing this club? Or are you content with this?!

They're the same people who will think everything is ok again if we win today. Don't get me wrong I'd love 3 points and we desperately need it but it doesn't change anything for me.

This club will always be rotten and stagnated until Fenty has gone. Although only small today I'm hoping the numbers protesting will grow, it won't be a quick or easy process but I believe we can force change and get our club back.

If we win 6-0 it is only painting over the cracks,

We need change.

Maybe they think (rightly) that the way to get three points is to cheer on the team.  Protests should be done outside of the 90 mins on the pitch

It might be papering over the cracks Pete but if we win 1-0 then I will be celebrating tonight like we have won the league, never mind 6-0.

Shows that the although the Fishy regulars like to think their perspective is representative of the entire GTFC fan base, it isn't necessarily that unanimous.

I suspect you are right about Mr Fenty Pete, but at the moment our survival in this league is more important than anything, because of the overall feeling around the club, it is even more important than 2010.

If we go down then i really fear for the clubs future. How ever we do it, we must stay up. I’m sure all Mariners feel the same.

Well some people are fine with whatever happens even if it's us getting relegated twice in a row and going to Conference North. As long as they have something to do on a Saturday a lot of people will put up with it. They have nothing else to do or spend their money on.

Couple of hundred protesters -the majority of the 3352 supported the team(and manager) & dont feel the need to protest.
Think about it.

I’m all for Fenty out, but I haven’t seen one person put forward a decent solution for what we’d do if he did just down tools and leave tomorrow.

I’d love to see a fan funded club, but we need milllions of pounds and raising 70k or whatever it was for Operation Promotion although incredible does not offer enough evidence that we could just run the club.

intercourse knows.

I'm a season ticket holder in the upper Findus and have been for many years. I did not stand up on 14 minutes neither did I boo the protesters whom I have never seen in those seats before.
I do recognise major issues with the club at the minute mainly the managers position.
There was a guy striding up and down the walkway at the front of the stand gesticulating for everyone to stand and protest, when that didn't happen, he turned nasty , swearing at everyone,
What would happen if Fenty walked? Have you thought that far?
Don't get me wrong, I don't like how the club's being run but a least it IS being run.
I do want Slade out ASAP.

Give over, 2000 home fans have already found something else to do on a Saturday, Most that still go are deeply worried about relegation and I guess some booed at the protest because we were 1-0 up and it was during the match or think the protest isn't needed as the message has been well and truly delivered already. Let's not kid ourselves that there's hundreds and thousands of fans getting home from the match with their Fenty roll-necks and Slade caps on and are satisfied about the current state of the club or excited about the future..

For balance, there was also a round of stand up if you love the club, and it was better supported than the other one. I stood for neither myself.

Let's get this straight Fenty will NOT walk away and put the club into administration.  In this scenario John Fenty would be the biggest loser as he would only get a fraction of his loans back.

The way I understand it the assets of the club (i.e. the ground) are security for the loans so he could get close to half of his money back. And we'd be homeless. Doubt even he would do that though. Would he?

Team Fenty standing up in the upper today made me feel physically sick.
Any one who support them are fools, Ares lickers or probably both.
If there is no change we will have no club to support within the next two seasons.
Fenty just go and take the rest of the bottom lickers with you.

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Not sure where you where sat but in the Upper it felt like the lads with the banner where not well received. I know a few faces involved in that they tend to appear when we have a derby or a needle game. One or two of them also are regular "top boys" at away games.

The timing was awful. I drove 70 miles to support the new signings and any player who gave 100%. Met a couple of Trust people in the bar and told them that their efforts help us exiles keep a connection with the home and away fan base. Very saddened to read just now of Mr Savages resignation.
I understand the anger, fear and frustration of most fans but for many in the Upper Findus the priority was 3 points. Don't put me in the 'need something to do on a Saturday' box. I just think that we have to be smarter than disrupting home games and arguing with ourselves.
Slade has lost the plot in so many ways. Focus on his performance rather than the whole Board shenanagins.
Somehow, we need to build some connection with this bunch of loanees, youth and oldies to scrape enough points for survival.

No one in their right mind would walk away from £2m, even though it'd make the club a more attractive prospect to investors.

He probably is in fairness.

He's a lot of things, stubborn, full of himself, blinkered and used to getting his own way but one thing he's not is stupid. Its a lot of money, money he has worked hard to earn using his undoubted business acumen (shame he didn't bring any of that to Grimsby Town) he wants it back somehow and who could blame him
