1. that the protest gets hijacked by anyone looking for trouble (we can't let this happen)

2.If there is trouble Fenty will love it.

3.If the protest is poorly supported ,the club will tell us only a small minority are against the present regime .(so everyone who wants change needs to attend)

The point is we live in a democracy and protests are part and parcel of democratic life ... far too many people in power label protesters as extremists even placing them on watch lists .... peaceful protest should never be objected too in democratic life ... imo

I think the point may have been that if there is any bother, it will only serve as to allow Fenty to walk away from the day with the moral high ground.. Which no one wants.

Why would you say such a thing? A peaceful protest is suggested so we don't need to stir things up do we?

I think the outside protest will be a damp squib.
McDonald’s car park will be policed so that’s a non starter.

My fear is about the 14th minute ‘stand up if you’ve had enough’ protest.
Some will stand up. Some will boo those standing up and some will tell them to sit down.
That’s when it may cause incidents.

All to tell Fenty what he already knows.

I don’t blame those involved. I hope they actually do achieve something.  I just don’t think it will.


The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

I won't be standing up, because i have a frail old boy and his wife behind me and I'm not going to block their view. He looks the sort that has seen everything there is to see at our club.

As stated elsewhere, the board know our feelings, they have made their choice and i'm going to see how that choice pans out. I will see what the car park protest is all about as i go that way into the ground. Will go with how the mood takes me on that.

Waste of time and its going to look pathetic. Blackpool we ain't and Fenty is made of sterner stuff than the Oystons - he's a Grimsby lad !

I would prefer a concerted display of some sort aimed at Slade.

'Sack the board' is a ridiculous idea anyway, what happens if they all, to a man, walk away and simply don't turn up at Blundell Park ever again and stop running the club or taking any day to day action. Stop paying the staff, stop playing the players, stop paying the bills, stop paying Slade (on reflection thats a good one tho' - he might intercourse off after all he's only here for the cash)

Fenty is trying to go I have no doubt about that so any demo aimed at him should because he won't sack Slade
