That's a 15 point season form. That corners coming though.

Trouble is can the driver steer the car round it or just hit the wall?

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

1 point from 18 is worst in the division.

It’s a shame that the corner you speak of is vertical and in a downwards direction.

And can we defend against it?

Just like I said earlier this season, its just like Port Fail last season, ok till Christmas looking up as much as down then it started, cant score, cant win, and slow decline into the bottom 4 with if I remember correctly the lowest goals for column in the league.

It's the lack of goals which is the most worrying.  28 is less than one a match.
It pretty well means unless you keep a clean sheet you have no chance of winning, and that loads pressure on the team - and leaves you a mountain to climb if you concede first.

The stats don't lie and unfortunately we're plummetting fast, ranked 20th in Attack, 16th in Defence...only 12 goals scored at home with only Barnet and Crawley worse (11 goals).....only two wins against teams in the top half. Failed to score in 48% of games...things need to change fast.

I posted these above stats three weeks ago, and I guess it's even worse now....on average you've needed to score 45 goals a season to stay up, where are the goals coming from?...very worrying!

And that lack of goals scored has been a pretty f@cking concrete fact all season, and back end of last. WE DO NOT SCORE GOALS! The way we play means that we create very few chances and score hardly any. And yet, we ignore that and go on and on and on. There's only only place this can end up. This is week after week, month after month. Ignore it at our peril.

Could we just shut up shop completely and grind out several draws to safety?

Would 45 points 7 draws and 1 win be enough to do it, thing is we are bound to get at least 1 win sooner or later. Unpalatable but going down would be a total disaster.
