...would be 4 home league losses on the bounce for the first time since April 2008. So impressive a feat in fact, that not even Newell or Woods achieved it!

I remember BP being a fortress a renowed place of hostility and a guaranteed hard game visitors hated coming to now it`s a walk in the park.

And would that fact be enough to force decisive action? I suspect not as there is probably a low expectation of what we might achieve against Luton, which is, in itself, quite telling. I do think there has been a very disappointing general downgrading of ambitions this season.

I remember some said the same when Neil Woods was manager.

Blundell Park was never a fortress during the Conference days. There many dire performances under Hurst. This seasons haven’t been any worse ,we just don’t want to look back logically

Defeat against Luton won't define our season. They have actually lost to two teams below us recently and only just edged past another last Saturday. They are not invincible and have lost their top scorer.

Mind you, this is GTFC......

Whatever else has gone on, we are underdogs on Saturday.

We should see plenty of effort and passion and if we get that but lose, let's not go into meltdown

With respect under Woods we were chasing points and had a long disastrous run before putting some points together to late this is different altogether.

Some teams regardless of form struggle at certain grounds you can bet Luton don`t like coming to BP based on many many previous visits.

BP hasn't been a fortress since the 1990s but at the moment it's more like a sandcastle

Indeed, we lost our last 3 Conference home games.

Another one of those same time tomorrow.

Defeat against Luton won't lead to any form of boardroom reaction because it's widely expected. That'll get us to the end of the window very nicely, so should the slide continue we'll be stuck with the under achievers who got us into this position.
I don't mean that about at least 75% of the first team who are more than capable of touching the play offs if correctly organised and motivated.

It should still be a fortress with Slade on the outside taking a walk in Sydney Park

Yes and there were still some on here, who still post, thought we would stay up and that we shouldn't sack Woods.

By the way we would have needed 49 points to guarantee safety that season.

I would assume Newports manager used the league game as a reminders to put the effort in for cup places.
