My browser on my tablet keeps trying to warn me away from the fishy and offering me back to safety.
I readily admit it might not be good for my mental health and sanity but I don't think the fishy is going to break tge Internet or my tablet tbh.
I ignored it at first but now it's getting very annoying.
Doesn't do it on my phone though. The https:// is in green on that.
How do I make it safe and green again? Ta!

Send Grimrob a PM. I'm sure he'll be able to advise you.

Exactly the same problem with my tablet.
All ok on the laptop and phone but really annoying on the tablet, I'm only using it for Redtube and XHamster now.

Think I'm going to get a new tablet. This Galaxy 4 is getting very slow.

It's just a follow up to the daft idea of banks and various software companies to try and persuade folks that any site without an SSL certificate is potentially dodgy. The fact that you could buy a valid SSL certificate for a few quid then run as crooked a site as you could imagine seems to have passed them by. No end of people are going to end up giving their data to dodgy sites because they misunderstand what the green padlock actually means after being misled.

Thanks for letting me know. I think the reason is that some of the avatars are http and the site is https which means some pages have mixed content. I've added a meta tag this week to the top of the page which tells browsers to automatically switch to the https version. Not all browsers support the tag. Chrome and Firefox do, Safari and Edge just ignore it, but they don't show any errors other than to indicate that the site is not 100% https. I'll change the avatars soon to use https, which means some people (not many) may lose theirs. The same applies for images in people's signatures like the one Les has. After the change, non-https images won't be displayed.

The main benefits of using https are it's a lot quicker as it allows browsers to use HTTP2. Consequently, Google favours sites which use it in their results as generally, it's a better experience for users. If you don't believe me try them both out here: http://www.httpvshttps.com. It's becoming more and more common now and is quite quickly becoming the norm.

I've a http version of the Fishy on another domain which I can provide by PM if you are having problems.

The whole https is faster than http thing is a load of claptrap, Rob. That Web site is comparing apples to oranges:

https://f5.com/about-us/blog/articles/stop-just-stop-https-is-not-faster-than-http-21798

Now, this doesn't mean that a site won't end up being faster due to the move to http2, but https has nothing to do with this as it has more overhead than http, simple as that. I can only imagine that disingenuous comparison site must have been dreamed up by somebody selling SSL certificates!
