Good first half, we are playing football and making The Us look like relegation candidates.

More of the same second half please. Booing a player coming on is out of order.

HT's

Colchester  0-1  Town

Sunderland  1-0  Hull

Scunthorpe  0-1  Gillingham

Barnet  1-0  Lincoln

Can we blow the final whistle now please.

The first 3 games yes please but I'd rather Lincoln took a couple of points off Barnet!

Well it sounds like Town have come out and had a go. Well worth the lead by all accounts, had plenty of possession and  created some chances.

So first a bit of credit to the manager for changing it about a bit at last and to the players for finally showing a bit of something.

Now comes the real test. No doubt Colchester will improve 2nd half and look to get back in the game.

History will suggest we will fall deeper and deeper as the game wears on and inevitably succumb to the mounting pressure as Slade does nothing to change the pattern of play and we end up losing..........or perhaps today is the day Slade will adapt his gameplan as the game unfolds...........

Better if Barnet were losing, even if it is Lincoln.

Yeah.....fair point.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Playoffs ??

I'd settle for mid table solidity at this stage, then see where we can get to.

Come on Town
Don't sit on the lead, let's go for another
UTM

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

It's an improvement. The whole team was booed onto the pitch at half time against Morecambe.

Well......RS has been brave, under pressure and getting stick swaps it around for a new formation with arguably better players dropped and sounded like a very competent first half. Well done RS.
Expect Col Utd to come out fighting now.
