Yeovil drawn at home to Man Utd....... 3 days before they play us.

Newport rewarded with a home tie against Tottenham.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Football fortune eh?

Could do with a dollop of that right now. Newport will be buzzing and raking it in.

Very happy for the 2 lowest ranked teams. Genuinely can see Newport giving Spurs a game. I will be cheering these 2 on

probably gutted they are at home given the potential gate monies they could have landed if they were away.

Two more teams with a bigger budget next season 🤔

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

And.....in the unlikely event that Mansfield get passed Cardiff they would be at home to Man City.

Notts County got Wolves or Swansea at home.

Even Carlisle got a home draw if they can see off Wednesday.

Pretty good draw for the league 2 clubs wouldn't you say.

Yeovil drawn at home to Man Utd.......

...and it would have been us - if we'd beaten Plymouth, then Bradford, then Yeovil...

I saw Newports draw on local news this morning, and it got me a bit depressed. When was the last time we drew a premier league club in any cup? League cup was Newcastle (aka battle of the elbows) over ten years ago, and god knows when in the FA cup.

Been telling myself that forever. Looks like this season has already petered out, barring a massive upswing in performances. Rinse and repeat.

By my maths, the last time we played a PL club in the FA Cup was Leeds in 97/98. League Cup was Blackburn in 08/09.

Although if you asked the club, we played Champions Leicester City just last season

Your manager has landed the odd big tie in the FA Cup. Anybody remember this one from 2004:

Memorable for a cracking effort from Lampard (see 2 mins 38 secs in)

I remember watching it on TV. Didn't the keepers mum clean his kit and wash of some of the chelsea players autographs?

Yeah, that's right. Leigh Walker got all the Chelsea players to sign his shirt after the game. Then his mum washed the shirt before he realised.

We were unlucky not to get a penalty when Gallas handled late in the match. If the ref had awarded it and we'd scored and got a lucrative replay at The Bridge maybe we wouldn't have gone into financial meltdown shortly afterwards.

Neither are Yeovil or Newport but it's giving them a few quid in their pot!
