Aren't Fylde backed by a sugar daddy? if so then it's not too hard to get a team to Conference with money at your disposal.

I love/hate these threads. Love them for some of the daft “Shankly’s not been dead long - can we get him back?” suggestions but hate them because it’s depressing that there isn’t anybody out there.

If we are to replace slade we need someone who can come in and work with what's here for the final 4 and half months of the season and most importantly get the players and the fans back engaged in the club.

So if you were in charge who would you appoint?

Dave Moore - fits the bill for that exactly

Couldn't agree more - sadly, I don't think he wants it.

Apologies if some of my choices are not particularly ambitious. I’ve tried to be realistic and match the boards likely tick list, I.e. cheap, low stock:

Rob Jones
Stuart Watkiss
Neil Redfearn
Lee Clark
Martin Allen
Micky Adams
Billy Davies
Paul Sturrock

Presuming of course, we don’t go for Mr Charisma Paul Wilkinson as he’s on the payroll already, or promote Graham Rodger or Neil Woods.

Davies probably over ambitious come to think of it. Mad dog Martin Allen my choice.

If we have to have a temporary man in charge please keep woods away from it , I’d go with Dave Moore

Someone with no connection to the club please. As Slade has shown appointing managers that divide the fan base is a gamble so definitely no to Challinor.

As I said when Slade was appointed the priority should be someone who has a long term vision of where the club is going, the style of football we play, our recruitment policy, our youth policy etc. As the person in charge of these things has no clue that's going to be pretty difficult.

Rob Jones....why?
Stuart Watkiss....no
Neil Redfern.....maybe
Lee Clark......no
Martin Allen....definitely no
Micky Adams...maybe
Billy Davies.....yes
Paul  Sturrock...definitely no

Looks like Dave Moore could be in for yet another holding position for a bit
