JF and RS will be hoping for a win,  the fickle fans will be excited about the posibility of making the playoff places again instead of calling for their heads lol.

Slade Out. It was probably a foul but thats not excuse to just stop and stand around you play to the flipping whistle!

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

A Sunday League defence would have done a better job at preventing that goal. No blame on Kean, it was disgustingly lazy from the players in front of him to let Ellison have a free header, in about 10 yards of space, in the middle of the penalty area.

Their no 11 now winding up the Town fans.

Thought we should've got a free kick leading up to their goal.

Sat infront of a nice warm fire listening to the radio, and as John Tondeur has now commented we need to score 2 now, well that's another loss then. Slade out.

What? We're into the 2nd half of the season, we have a goal difference right now of minus NINE, fans are staying away in droves and the board are a shambles and YOU feel like you should vent your spleen at people being unhappy about it?

Im certaiy not living in the 80s I wasn't born till 89. I can not see a single positive out of the squad Slade has built except for the money we will hopefully make when we have to sell Dembele.

25 minutes on the clock and no saves required from their keeper.
I like to see their keeper tested, even better to see him pick the ball out of the net but then I'm living in the Eighties

Too slow
No creativity
Too much hoof
No tactics
Too many players past it
Too many players on 2 year deals that are poor slades fault.

At least the ref seems semi decebt except.maybe not calling a possible foul before their goal. Still not deciddd on first viewing if it was a goal or just out muscling.

26-27 year olds have experience, not players who are in their last season.

Well if Slade isn't sacked after this shambles then I reckon it'll be down to 2,000 or less next home game.

2-0 keeper just palmed it back into the danger area

From a corner though. If Slade had one attribute before it was that we defended well at high balls and also used set pieces such as corners to our advantage. That's in reverse now, as is every other aspect of Slades management.

This isn't  funny anymore (not that it was) but it's getting scary now.

Their keeper may as well go for a cup of tea.

Honestly, that could have been given as a foul I reckon, their guy has his arm right across Keans throat.

Give your fookin head a shake 😂😂😂😂😂

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

First goal certainly a foul on Mills for me - has his arm across his body stopping him going for the ball. After that blame on both defence for leaving Ellison in acres of space in the middle of the box and the keeper who I thought could have got the ball if he'd come for it.

Second one elementary error by the keeper - just tip it over if in doubt. We've been dismal in attack. Slow, no link-up between the players. Might as well not bother with wingers as neither is doing anything and we're losing midfield against 3 in the middle.

We've been shite but should be level without the stupid errors.

I don't want Fenty to sack Slade.

Slade has got to go..

But I don't want Fenty to make another single decision for this club..

Its not like this hasn't been coming for months . Anyone who supported this regime needs to have a look at them selves and wonder if they have let the club down . I have only been to the Coventry game and I saw what I needed to see it that one game .

"Matt holds the ball up and feeds the ball to Dembele. Dembele crosses early into the box but there are no Town players even in there. More groans around the ground"

This and no attempts on goal on the 1st half....I do not believe this team are playing for their manager. Something's off, I expect a senior player or two to make a statement by Monday denying there's any dressing room unrest,

That pontoon looks very empty! Looks to me like a lot of season ticket holders aren’t turning up to games either?

I’m sat at home in the warm, soccer Saturday on, nice warm brew and listening to the game. Really lost all interest in turning up to BP anymore and I was one of the ones that was happy when Slade came back

Dembele isn't strong enough for league 2 in my opinion.

That's not saying he wouldn't do well higher up in the pyramid.

Dembele is playing to basic instructions, that's obvious and a shame. His development will explode under a modern, positive thinking manager.

He might not be at Town when that happens though.

I’ve lost all interest now, I won’t be going back to BP until things change drastically, it’s not the losing it’s the way we are being run from top to bottom, I’ve had all the enthusiasm sucked out of me.

Thought we had an All time  low after Accrington
But no, it’s today
Seems at the moment without change there is no lower limit set to how low we can go, perform, or look poor.
Now that is frightening as no one has a right to be in this league and not sure if I can stand conference again as we won’t come back
If May 16 was the best for been a town fan then Jan 18 is the absolute worse
How can we have got it so wrong in such a short time
Bristol R and Lincoln seem to have bottled the momentum to there advantage where we seem to have let it run through our fingers

Oh I don't know, almost the whole team look to be wading through treacle out on the pitch.

They kept the nucleous of the same squad. Losing Hurst didn't help us but also good managerial appointments did help them.

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

I blame Hurst for starting that, Bignob and the infant schoolteacher have just carried it on signing crap to replace the excellent basis for a Div 4 squad that Hurst dismantled.

Bye bye Fenty and Slade, I won’t be back until one or both of you are gone! Unfortunately I don’t see this happening for a long time so I guess it could be a long time away from BP

I remember standing in a packed away end end witnessing a great away performance and win at Cambridge in one of his final games so I don't agree with that.

For me it's a combination of dreadful football lacking in any semblance of entertainment combined with the contempt the board clearly hold the support in. I considered a 160 mile round trip with my football obsessed 4 year old for about 3 seconds before thinking 'why the intercourse would I want to inflict that on us'?

A 4-1 win for Cheltenham away and our dire goal difference means that Cheltenham now go above us.
Cheltenham! After their shaky start. 1 goal in 6 for us.

Let's knock this whole 'building things' lie that Slade was allowed to get away with on the head. Stats don't lie, this is not progression, we've gone backward. If Bignot was found out then Slade surely has.

Bye Slade, please DO let the door smack your ar$e on the way out.

Town have amassed 34 points this season and probably need around 50 points to avoid relegation.

Doesn't seem like a tall order to get 16 more points from the remaining 19 games

- but why is this team seriously lacking in the ability to complete (what is now) the escape?

How was 34 points achieved but now, there appears likelihood that not many more points can be achieved - (with the current run of form)?

The people controlling GTFC, I am sure, will be aware of this issue and will not be complacent in making sure that Football League status is achieved at the end of the season.

Let's not forget, 2 years ago we would have taken the position we are in now.

But to throw away all of the past great work to re-gain Football League status would be  - aaghh - can't think of a bad enough word!

Finally we had a 20 min spell where we got a bit of pressure on, (compared to most games)  then Slade brings on JJ then Vernon and what little threat we had disappeared immediately. Finally a not like for like sub with 5 mins or so left.
Was always against Sladeball coming back and not changed my mind at any point since.

We actually played some reasonable football during the first 25 or so minutes of the second half. Passing, movement, all that sort of crazy stuff we don't tend to see. Unfortunately, they defended well, cleared one off the line and their keeper made an excellent save. Our decent football wasn't enough to overcome the complete lack of a goal threat from our strikers and subs.

Their number 9 today had more strength, pace and athleticism than all our forwards combined. Wish he played for us, though he wasn't much of a goal threat himself.
