Now this would be one striker Slade would be wise not to have back defending corners.

When's the last time a striker was any good when he returned for a second spell? Matt Tees?

No thanks. Might be in the minority but didn't rate him to much if I'm honest.

No thanks. Since his little purple patch when on loan to us last time he has done nothing really and if he cannot get a game for the Imps he is not worth a wage here.

More of a goal threat than Vernon though I'd say. And Hooper. Bit of a handful. Decent target. I would've thought he was a Slade type of player. I can't decide whether or not he's L2 standard really. Did ok at Orient. Didn't do much at Luton. Nobody seems to think he's a regular which puts me off a bit.

A reminder of what he is capable of and the reason Luton signed him. Sadly, he can't re-produce it regularly for anyone. There is talent there, no doubt.

One of very few players in recent years to actually get me out of my seat in excitement, he could produce something from nothing. I’d have him back tbh

When here he made life hard for defenders and made things happen, quality player who found his form at Grimsby. I’d be happy to see him back at Blundell Park.

I'd be delighted to see him back, if he only turned it on 10 times a season it would be more than the current crop of 'strikers' (I use the word loosely) put together

His profile is turning into quite the journeyman since we had him here last. Have we got room for one more?

I liked Palmer and surely he's better than we have now, I seem to remember he had a bit of baggage, ? But sometimes a player just fits somewhere, can't think of anyone of the top of my head, but players often leave a club and don't do very well, until they return to the original club and become successful again, maybe that could be the case with Palmer, although it could just be wishful thinking 😉
