Think he prefers golf and socialising too much to move east.

He's scored for us, lives in Menston - whose Anglican parish church is dedicated to Saint John the Divine.

F'kin nailed on, I'd say!

(Who'd he score against?)

Think he scored in a 1-0 win away at Charlton.
He plays golf at Bradford Golf Club, near Mentone.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you give him an excuse for him to escape from the wife and kids for the weekend and drink lots of beer.

No, I'm fairly sure it was Buckley who signed Ashcroft, and I think it was nearer £500 thousand, or we might've sold him for that.

Think Paul Jewell bought when he was at Wigan. We paid £750,000 for him from P.N.E.

We paid £550k for Ashcroft, remains our record signing and probably will forever and a day.

I saw Jewell hit the bar for us at Oxford about 25 years ago, from about ten yards out. For that reason, I’d rule him out of ever coming back to the club, think it was just a months loan.

It was Bruce Rioch who signed Ashcroft for Wigan, Jewell didn't go there for another year.

He did. Ivano was in the team that day. Even the Charlton fans were impressed. When was it - 1995?
