I thought Reece Hall Johnson had moved to Chester permo altho' i'm probs mistaken.
As for Rose we do know what's going on. It was discussed and explained at the fans forum. His hearing for international clearance is in April and it's 50/50 weather he will get it but until then, he is only allowed to play in friendlies. Not even allowed to play reserve games that's why they keep playing these behind closed doors friendlies to keep him motivated.
Clifton is trying to get out on loan but is being held back as he is ' needed ' apparently!
Max will be back. Just because he is having a great spell at Scarboro' he is still a town fan through and through and would choose to play for us over anyone if he got the chance.

Clifton is needed but can't even make the squad?

That is tough for the lad sounds like an impossible situation. When Slade did the stats presentation he appeared the fittest lad at the club, what else can he do to force his way into the squad.

I say get him out on loan to the conference asap, what's the point in him rotting in the reserves playing one game a month.

Akheem Rose in amongst fans at Notts County saying he is very hopeful for good news in April. Seems a mature and very balanced young fella. All fingers crossed.

I think everyone at the club and Akheem are all hoping for the positive result come April. Heard good things about him from someone within the club and he cokes across on that awful thing called twitter quite decent

Can't believe we're not allowing Clifton to go out on loan. Just stick in one of these 24 hour recalls like with Osborne. He's never going to develop if he's not playing competitive games and it's not fair on the lad to keep him here and not use him ever. Get him playing for Guiseley or someone in the Conference and allow him to improve.

Been subbed in each of the last 3 games (presumably due to being made of glass). Managed 88 minutes on boxing day though.

Clifton should go in and say to Slade he needs a loan for "personal" reasons, seems to work for everyone else!!!

You only have to look at how well Wright is doing to see the benefit of getting a youngster out on loan.

Wright is at too low a level for his perfotmances/progress to have much relevance to his potential as a FL player in my opinion. Needs to be conference or conference north/south at worst.

This loan I really don't understand because he played one level higher and did well the previous season, what benefit was it dropping down even further.

Presumably Barrow weren't keen on taking Clements on permanently, or maybe they wanted Town to top up his wages. Come the end of January Slade might be keen to off-load him

I don't see Asante ever being able to play League 2 if he can't play National league regularly

It's not so much a case of some of these not being here in the summer - Slade will want to get rid of people in January to bring others in.

For one reason or another other than Jones it appears Marcus Bignot and his head of recruitment Gary Whilde’s signings have fallen flat despite many being “ones for the future”. I would imagine there is not a league 2 club with as many players out on loan than us.

Mid table mediocrity is where we’ll be until this washes through.

Well Slade hasn’t really done a good job of sorting it has he? For Bignot’s Asantes/Clements/Yussufs, Slade has himself recruited Kelly/Dixon/Hooper/K.Osborne. So when will all this be ‘washed through’?

Karleigh Osborne has looked pretty impressive whenever I’ve seen him, so to say he’s a budget waste is harsh as you need some cover and he looks decent.

I agree with the above - was surprised he didn't get more games earlier in the season when clarke was looking dodgy (but who has undoubtedly since improved)

I think that the biggest disappointment since our return to league football has been the recruitment of players and that covers all 3 managers Hurst, Bignot and Slade and you have to ask how three different guys can get this so wrong, especially as Hurst appears to have not had the same problems with Shrewsbury.

Whether this is down to his current budget I do not know but we have been very guilty of putting quantity ahead of quality. As supporters we cannot comprehend what would have persuaded Slade to sign Dixon, Kelly or Hooper and even DJ is just a player with a little promise and has not yet proved to be a game changer. Of his other signings Rose is Ok Dembele has much promise and Osbourne is stil unproven.

In reality if I had a magic wand I would only retain Mills, Jamie Osbourne, Dembele, Jones and Macca, but as the back up keeper. Summerfield has also earned a reprieve which is remarkable given my thoughts on him a few months back. Of those listed Jones is doing everything to prove my opinion of him is wrong and Osbourne may or may not want to be here!!!

Not saying players like Davies, Clarke and Collins are not useful but if we want to move forwards we have to have younger, faster versions of these guys.

Others may disagree but whoever is in charge has a massive task on his hands and demonstrates that matters are not likely to improve significantly in the near future. On that cheerful note happy new year to all fellow Mariners.
