Festive greetings to one and all (and I mean all) - let's hope that the boys give us something to cheer on Tuesday and Saturday and have us somewhere near the play-offs by the end of the year UTMM!

On a slightly different tack!
I remember a Christmas Day game in the late 50s against Sheffield United.
I was a young lad standing behind the goal in the Osmond Stand .During the game the ball ended up in the crowd near me.
In goal that day was the great goalkeeper Alan Hodgkinson , who also played for England.
When Hodgkinson came to retrieve the ball from the crowd , he wished everyone a" Merry Christmas ",
Unfortunately , with advancing years ! That's all I can remember about the game !
