Swansea sack manager Paul Clement.

They are now looking for their 7th manager in 2 years.

Makes us look good in the turnover of manager stakes  😀

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Are they desperate enough to abandon all their principlesxand appoint Tony pulis?

It’s got Pulis written all over it so I’m fully expecting a unknown foreign manager to be appointed.

British managers over 50 are the current trend in the prem, so my quid's on pulis* (and to be fair it's working pretty well so far, bar Pardew)

*Tony, not Anthony.

The club is completely deluded, I have heard some ridiculous things from the fans in the last few years (admittedly they weren't fans of a vintage) such as they are a bigger club than so and so (including some peaches like Shef Weds and Notts Forest!).

Punching far above their weight and there is no shame in relegation, in fact it's an inevitable fact it will happen sooner or later. Ditching managers every 2 seconds is not going to stave that off. They should take a longer view, if they became a yo yo club between the top couple of divisions that would be better than 90% of their entire history.

It's not so long ago that they almost dropped out of the League altogether. A club around the same size as Norwich or Ipswich so that's a good indication of their real level, longer-term.

That said, clubs such as Leeds, Wednesday and Wolves haven't been near the top division for donkey's years. It's not just the size of the club, it's what you do with it.

And add to that they sold 3 of there best players in Siggurdsson, Llorente and Williams.  Did they reinvest that money plus the huge amount they get from tv deals.  I hope they go down.

I imagine it all gets swallowed up quickly by Premier league wages, Bony was on over 100k per week at City so he must be on a fair whack maybe 3-4m per year and despite a whopping transfer fee for him they never made any money on him as they paid out big fees for him twice.

I'll never know why they sacked Monk. First sticky patch he hit and they got rid.

Appreciate he's not tearing it up in the Championship but he's working with Championship players.

A good, young British coach ditched because they hit panic stations - and I don't think they were even in the bottom 3 at the time!

I always use Swansea as a yardstick to what we might aspire to...some day.

Apart from a flirtation with the top flight in the 80's Swansea Town as they were then were always in the bottom 2 divisions wern't they?

I think their crowds used to be like ours in divisions 3 and 4 at the Vetch Field, with little or no prospect of making the big time.

There is always a chance of the unexpected in football as Swansea, Hull,  Bournemouth, Wigan, Burton, etc. have shown. We continue to live in hope.

Crowds literally doubled overnight with the new stadium Lew and yes they are traditionally a 3rd/4th division club.

Just goes to show what can be achieved with a savvy owner, Jack to a King is well worth a watch if anyone hasn't seen it.
