Normally I would watch it but with so many England players pulling out of this one...... I'm on the bench tonight.

Good to see some young/inexperienced players start though. Will be interesting to see how they get on (although I might end up sticking Sweden Italy on instead once the plethora of subs kick in)

Guessing it's to flog the away kit. Reminds me of Stuart Watkiss' game in charge v Barnet (where we wore a red shirt because they hadn't brought their away)

Innovative engineering at its very best 👍

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

I thought we were playing really good controlled football, although didn't recognise some of the names, then the missus, who had a good complaint about no Coronation Street, explained it was the Germans in white.Think Fenty's  missing a trick regards selling away kits, Shaun Harvey will soon bring in a rule about wearing away kits at home.

We are a tad open at the back to say the least. Amazing there hasn't been a goal yet, with loads of chances at both ends. It's actually enjoyable for a change.

The first half (of the England game) was interesting because our formation with three at the back gave the Germans acres of space in attacking positions, even though we had loads of defenders standing around in space.

Seem to have tightened it up a bit since then, but you feel that the Krauts could win at a canter if they really put their minds to it.

Still, quite entertaining.

Really? Southgate had Loftus-Cheek with him in the u21s for 3 years. Doesn't seem to have done him any harm.

Liked the look of Loftus-Cheek, , looked comfortable and assured on the ball.

That Trippier has an awesome first touch for a defender!!

Corners need working on, Delivery was awful

For me Trippier should always play. He’s a better defender than Walker for certain! Don’t worry everyone once we get to a tournament we’ll flatter to deceive!

We don't have a Gascoine type player thats why we are always so negative with all this sideways playing.

All these Spurs players look good for their  because they have Eriksen feeding them some 'forward' balls.

Without a player him they are starved of the quick accurate ball they need. City are a great team this year on the back of De Bruyne.

Surprised no one has mentioned how Hoddle was complaining about youngsters never get a chance in the prem teams nowadays. Then said the answer was for premiership B teams in lg2 and conference 'like other countries'. Yes that's right prem teams create the problem, other teams should be destroyed to make up for these teams bad decisions. Not premiership teams forced to change to prevent that problem in the first place!
The clueless presenter just despaired at the way there was 'so much resistance to it' - yes funny that love, fans not wanting their teams to be forced out of existence as there an inconvenience to the premiership and England managers. Shows even more how the checkatwat trophy has to be resisted at every turn, clear evidence of exactly where it's supporters see it heading.

I don't understand how playing for Chelsea B in the 4th tier would give a player more chance of playing for Chelsea than playing on loan 2 or even 3 leagues higher. Utter nonsense from Hoddle (as usual).

The only reason it works in Spain is that their lower leagues are weak and need decent teams to improve the standard.

They have two leagues and then the lower leagues are regionalised. They don't have the strength of depth that the English league has.

Good point Abdul, he did actually argue against himself as when the presenter mentioned players, if they couldn't get in the prem teams being loaned out to the championship, he said that would be useless as a way of them learning to help them get ready for internationals. So how would playing in lg2/conf help in the slightest?
